V1.6.0.9 & 1.6.0.10
Under certain conditions operation of the UP-X300 (V1.6.0.9/1.6.0.10) could
become slow.
(Applicable Versions 1.6.0.9 & 1.6.0.10 only)
General:
An incident of the UP-X300 performing slowly or appearing to be “froze” for a short period has been
reported on some V1.6.0.9 & 1.6.0.10 installations.
Cause:
The cause of this particular issue was the settings of one of the configuration files:
\HD2\X300\Windows\Mfull.ini
Background:
Sharp introduced a new feature for EJ and Transaction Recall, in release version 1.6.x.x
This allows the “older” data to be deleted, therefore always storing latest entries for EJ and TR.
To achieve this there is a setting within mfull.ini file, this determines a percentage amount of these
files to be deleted (delete oldest date)
As the size of data to be deleted is large then the delete time is longer and this affects the
operational performance of the X300.
Therefore with the change below only 2% of EJ or TR will be deleted at time of delete process.
This only applies to the original release of 1.6.0.9 and 1.6.0.10 (not applicable to 1.4.x.x / 1.5.x.x, or
future release of 1.6.x.x)
Action:
If you have any installations of original 1.6.0.9 or 1.6.0.10, please amend the lines of the mfull.ini
file, to that shown in the table, below.

Procedure to edit the mfull.ini
1.  Perform Shutdown (and tap screen 20 times) return to CE desktop
2.  Use notepad to edit c:\HD2\X300\Windows\mfull.ini
3.  Save and then reboot the X300 terminal
