This batch file will perform a file copy to change the PWFAIL.DAT settings. 
 
 
How to Install: 
 
1)
 
Download the .ZIP file from the technical website. 
2)
 
Uncompress the .ZIP file and copy the file (RecoverPWFail.bat) to \Hard Disk2 
3)
 
Copy \hard disk2\pwfail.dat to \hard disk2\mrs (to be done before any power 
issues) 
4)
 
Installation complete.. 
 
How to use: 
 
In the event that “Power Failure Processing” is shown on the X300 screen while 
powering on, and then does not allow X300 to boot then follow this procedure. 
 
1)
 
Press OK on the error box 
2)
 
Tap the screen 20 times to return to the Windows CE desktop 
3)
 
Press Windows key on Keyboard 
4)
 
Select RUN 
5)
 
Type CMD and Press OK 
6)
 
Type “cd hard disk2” press enter 
7)
 
Type “recoverpwfail” press enter 
8)
 
Select File > Close 
9)
 
Double Click “X300 Shutdown” shortcut 
10)
 
 Power off then on the X300
