From the Preview Window, select the required Image Area and click Scanning to import the image. 
 
 
 
When scanning is complete, close the Twain Driver.  
 
Return to the AR-C260M and EXIT PC Scan mode. 
 
The scanned image can now be manipulated using the supported Application.  
 
 
AR-P16 Copy Rom Facility (Scanning Destinations) 
 
When the AR-NS2 Network Scanner option is enabled, data including E-Mail, DNS settings and Scan 
Destinations are held on the PCL Flashcard. If, at any time the PCL Flashcard is replaced, all customer 
destinations will be lost. 
 
As well as using the SCNSET utility to “Back-up” and “Restore” scanning destinations, a Copy Rom facility is 
now available when the Engine and Printer Board firmware is updated (refer to Page 1 of this bulletin for 
firmware versions). 
 
Procedure 
 
1.  Power of the AR-C260M and remove the AR-P16 Print Controller Board. 
 
2.  Remove the original PCL flashcard and insert the replacement PCL Flashcard into the same socket 
(Slot 2 - ID - Code1, CN4). 
 
3.  Now insert the original PCL Flashcard into Slot 3 (ID - Code2, CN6) as shown below:-

4.  Refit the AR-P16 Print Controller and Power On the AR-C260M. 
 
5.  When the Print Controller is “Ready” (On-Line), enter Simulation 67-40. 
 
Press Execute to commence copying. 
 
 
 
 
“Writing” and “Verifying” should be displayed during the copying process. 
 
 
Note: If you insert an invalid flashcard or no additional flashcard is present in Slot 3, the machine will 
Display “Flash Error”. 
 
6. When 
Complete is displayed, power off the AR-C260M and remove the AR-P16 Print Controller. 
 
7.  Remove the original PCL Flashcard from Slot3 (ID - Code2, CN6) and refit the AR-P16. 
 
8.  Power on the AR-C260M and confirm ALL destinations have been copied onto the new PCL 
Flashcard by pressing the following keys:- 
 
Image Send – Address Directory 
 
 
500Mhz Controller Support (AR-P16N) 
 
From January 2004 production (SOCC), the Print Controller Board fitted to AR-C260M has changed from a 
300Mhz to 500Mhz type controller. 
 
Because of this change, the Boot & PCL firmware has changed to support the new controller:-
