You can connect either the A/V connecting cable
or the i.LINK cable.
Connect the devices as illustrated on page 97.

To connect using the A/V connecting cable, send
the control signal by infrared rays to the remote
sensor on the VCR.

The POWER switch should be set to 

.

Operate by touching the panel.

(1) Turn the power of the connected VCR on.

If the VCR has an input selector, set it to
input mode.
When you connect a video camera recorder,
set its power switch to VCR/VTR.

(2) Press FN to display PAGE1.
(3) Press MENU to display the menu.
(4) Select VIDEO EDIT in 

, then press EXEC

(p. 234).

(5) Select TAPE, then press EXEC.
(6) Press EDIT SET.
(7) Select CONTROL, then press EXEC.
(8) When connecting with the A/V connecting

cable, select IR, then press EXEC.
When connecting with the i.LINK cable,
select i.LINK, press EXEC, then go to
“Step 3: Adjusting the synchronisation of the
VCR” on page 105.

(9) Select IR SETUP, then press EXEC.
(10) Select the IR SETUP code of your VCR, then

press EXEC. Check the code in “About the
IR SETUP code” (p. 104).

Vous pouvez raccorder le caméscope au
magnétoscope avec le cordon de liaison
audio/vidéo ou un câble i.LINK.
Raccordez les appareils comme indiqué à la page
97.

Lorsque les deux appareils sont reliés par le
cordon de liaison audio/vidéo, envoyez les

(2) Appuyez sur FN pour afficher la PAGE1.
(3) Appuyez sur MENU pour afficher le menu.
(4) Sélectionnez VIDEO EDIT dans 

, puis

appuyez sur EXEC (p. 244).

(5) Sélectionnez TAPE, puis appuyez sur EXEC.
(6) Appuyez sur EDIT SET.
(7) Sélectionnez CONTROL, puis appuyez sur

EXEC.

(8) Si vous raccordez un cordon de liaison

audio/vidéo, sélectionnez IR puis appuyez
sur EXEC.
Si vous raccordez un câble i.LINK,
sélectionnez i.LINK, appuyez sur EXEC,
puis passez à la « 3

(9) Sélectionnez IR SETUP, puis appuyez sur

(10) Sélectionnez le code IR SETUP de votre

magnétoscope, puis appuyez sur EXEC.

(11) Sélectionnez PAUSEMODE, puis appuyez

sur EXEC.

(12) Sélectionnez le mode d’annulation de la

pause d’enregistrement sur le
magnétoscope, puis appuyez sur EXEC.
La touche qu’il faut utiliser dépend du
magnétoscope.
Consultez le mode d’emploi du
magnétoscope pour le détail.

(13) Locate the infrared rays emitter of your

camcorder and face it towards the remote
sensor of the VCR about 30 cm (12 in.) apart.

(14) Insert the recordable tape into the VCR, then

set the VCR to recording pause.

(15) Select IR TEST, then press EXEC.
(16) Select EXECUTE, then press EXEC.

If the VCR starts recording, the setting is
correct.
The indicator you selected to cancel
recording pause on the VCR flashes on the
screen. When finished, the indicator changes
to COMPLETE.

Note
When you connect with an i.LINK cable, you
may not be able to operate the dubbing function
correctly, depending on the VCR.
Set CONTROL to IR in the menu settings of your
camcorder.

(13) Positionnez l’émetteur de rayons

infrarouges du caméscope face au capteur
de télécommande du magnétoscope à
environ 30 cm.

(14) Insérez une cassette enregistrable dans le

magnétoscope, puis mettez le magnétoscope
en pause d’enregistrement.

(15) Sélectionnez IR TEST, puis appuyez sur

EXEC.

(16) Sélectionnez EXECUTE, puis appuyez sur

EXEC.
Si l’enregistrement commence sur le
magnétoscope, c’est que le réglage est
correct.
L’indicateur sélectionné pour annuler la
pause d’enregistrement sur le magnétoscope
clignote sur l’écran. Lorsque
l’enregistrement est terminé, l’indicateur est
remplacé par COMPLETE.

Remarque
Lorsque vous utilisez un câble i.LINK, la copie
peut ne pas s’effectuer correctement sur certains
magnétoscopes.
Réglez CONTROL sur IR dans les paramètres du
menu du caméscope.

About the IR SETUP code
The IR SETUP code is stored in the memory of
your camcorder. Be sure to set the correct code,
depending on your VCR. Default setting is code
number 3.

Digital program editing is not possible if the VCR
does not support IR SETUP codes.

Codes IR SETUP
Des codes IR SETUP de magnétoscopes ont été
enregistrés dans la mémoire du caméscope.
Veillez à régler le code correct, selon le
magnétoscope utilisé. Par défaut, le numéro de
code 3 a été spécifié.

Remarque sur les codes IR SETUP
Il n’est pas possible d’effectuer de montage
numérique de séquences programmées avec les
magnétoscopes qui n’ont pas de codes IR SETUP.
