Before installation, be sure to turn both the operation and main 
power switches off and disconnect the power plug from the power 
outlet. Make double sure that the data lamp on the operation panel 
does not light up or blink when performing installation.


Installation of the punch unit must be performed with the inner fin-
isher installed to the machine. If the punch unit is installed without 
the inner finisher installed to the machine, when the inner finisher is 
installed, the slide rail of the inner finisher may hit the punch unit 
connector, damaging the connector.

1)

Remove the fulcrum cover.

2)

Remove the clip. Remove the fulcrum, and remove the open/
close cover.

3)

Remove the punch F cover.

4)

Remove the path guide.

1) Attach the punch unit.

1) Attach the punch F cover.

2) Insert the fulcrum shaft into the open/close cover, and attach 

the cover and fix it with the clip.

3) Attach the fulcrum cover.

Attach the punch dust label.

2)

Attach the punch position label (for the scanner).

3)

Attach the punch position label.

1)

Connect the power plug of the machine to the power outlet, 
and turn ON the main power switch and the operation panel 
power switch.

CAUTION

Cleaning of the document scan section

When streaks appear on copy or scan
images, open the automatic document
feed unit and clean the document scan
section with the glass cleaner (accessory).

NOTE: Before installation, be sure to turn both the operation and

main power switches off and disconnect the power plug
from the power outlet. Make double sure that the data lamp
on the operation panel does not light up or blink when per-
forming installation.

1) Push up the section A to disengage the pawl, and remove the

paper holding arm and the paper holding arm holder together
as a unit.
* Be careful to remove both of the paper holding arm (which is

easily removed alone) and the paper holding arm holder.

2)

Remove the paper exit full detection actuator.

3)

Pull and remove the delivery sponge.
Take care not to leave the fragment of the sponge.

Open the front cabinet. Remove the screws, and remove the
front cabinet upper.

2)

Remove the screws, and remove the paper exit tray.

3) Remove the left cabinet.

4) Remove the left cabinet upper.

5) Install the positioning plate.

1. Move paper exit shifter to the front side and fix the fixing
position of positioning plate (Packed item No.2).

2. Hook front side of the positioning plate to the rib of frame.
3. Stick the positioning plate to the slit.
4. Fix it with the screw D (Packed item No.9).

6)

Remove the front connection cabinet from the front cabinet
upper and attach it to the cabinet (Packed item No.3)

7)

Install the front cabinet upper C unit, and fix with the screws.

8)

Install the Positioning shaft (Packed item No.5), and fix with
the screw (Packed item No.7) to the left side of the paper pass
unit. (Only for MX-FN10)
