D. Paper guide C (bundled with the decurler unit) 
installation
1) Install the paper guide C (bundled with the decurler unit No.13)
to the paper feed side of the inserter with the screws (bundled
with the decurler unit No.1). 
E. Gasket installation ( Only for Taiwan)
1) Stick a gasket (Packed items No.22) to the paper feed side of
the inserter as the following reference. 
F. Installation of the connection plate and the 
protection Mylar to the decurler unit
1) Remove the decurler unit plates.
2) Attach  the pr otection  sheet ( bundled  with the  decurler  unit
No.14)  to  the  decurler  unit  with  the  screw  (bundled  with  the
decurler unit No.1).
MEMO: Temporarily attach the protection sheet to the decurler
unit with the duplex tape (back of the protection sheet), then fix
it with the screw.
3) Attach the connection plate F/R (Packed items No.8, 9) to the
decurler  unit with  the  screws  (Packed  items No.18 Scr ew
4x6L).
G. Connection with the decurler unit
1) Open  the  inserter  front  upper  cover,  remove the scr ew,  and
pull the lock lever toward you.
2) Connect the inserter to the decurler unit. 
Insert the pin in the decurler unit side into the unit hole.

3) Push up the lock lever to lock  the unit and  the decurler unit.
Use the removed screw to fix the lock lever.
MEMO:  If  they  cannot  be  locked,  follow  the inst alling  proce-
dures (height adjustment) of the complex machine and options
to adjust the height.
H. Fall-prevention stay storing
1) Loosen  the scr ew  of the fall- prevention  stay,  and store the
stay.
I. Tray unit installation
For installation of the tray unit, use manpower of two or more per-
sons.
1) Remove the rear cover of the tray unit.
2) Hold the grip of the unit to install it to the inserter.
NOTE: When the tray unit is in serted, the machine becomes
unstable. In order to prevent against falling, therefore,
connect  the  after-process  mechanism  (the  finisher,
etc.) the fall-prevention to the lef t side of the inserter
and put the tray unit on it.
3) Attach the screw (Packed items No. 16) .
4) Connect five connectors.
5) Remove the front inner cover. (2 screws)
6) Fix the tray unit. (2 screws (Packed items No. 16))

7) Attach the base cover. (1 screw (Packed items No. 3))
8) Attach the front door to the front inner cover, and attach the L-
hinge pins (Packed items No. 12).
MEMO: Insert the L-hinge pin in the lower section into the back
of the Black Mylar.
9) Attach the front inner cover to the tray unit. (2 screws)
10) Attach  the  accessory cover   (Packed  items No. 1) with the
screw (Packed items No. 17) and the winding bushing (Packed
items No. 21).
J. Cable connection
1) Connect the connector to the decurler unit.

K. Height and tilt adjustment
MEMO:  When the  adjuster  bolt is  turned  counterclockwise,  the
height  is  decreased. When  turned  clockwise,  the height is
increased.
NOTE: The specification of the height and the tilt adjustment are as
follows.
Height: The difference of level between top surface of the adjacent
device is within +/-2mm.
Tilt: The difference of clearance between upper and lower part of
the adjacent device is within +/-2mm.
1) Place an adjustment dish under every adjuster bolt, and screw
the bolt. (4 positions)
2) Turn  the adju ster  bolts  (1) and (2)   in  the above   figure,  and
adjust the height.
3) Turn  the adju ster  bolts  (3) and (4)   in  the above   figure,  and
adjust the tilt.
