Setting up the AR-P15
Setting up the DNS Setup Options
Administrator must configure the DNS server to add the hostname of mail servers on your network and
enter the IP address of the DNS server when you want use the hostname for the incoming mail server
and outgoing mail server address instead of IP address. When the DNS server address is assigned,
the AR-P15 can access to the DNS server to find the IP address of incoming mail server and outgoing
mail server.
The DNS Setup option can be set only from the Touch Panel Display.
To Assign the DNS Server Address from Touch Panel Display
1.
Accessing the Setting menu on the Touch Panel Display.

2.
Accessing the DNS Setup screen.
1. Press [PROTOCOL SETUP] on the Setting menu.
2. Press [TCP/IP] on the Protocol Setup menu.
3. Press [DNS SETUP] on the TCP/IP options menu.

Press [ENABLE] for the Enable DNS Server option.
When the DNS server address can be automatically obtained from the network, press
[ENABLE] for the Enable Auto Detect option and press [SET].

When assigning the DNS server address manually, press [DISABLE] for the Enable Auto
Detect option, enter the IP address of the DNS server using the Digital key, and press
[SET].

Perform restarting the AR-P15.
• See the
Administrator’s Guide about how to restart the AR-P15.
• The settings changes on the Network options is applied after restarting the printer. If you want to set
other network options, you can also proceed the operation for setup before restarting the printer.

Setting up the E-mail Service Options
In order to enable the E-mail service on the AR-P15, which is required to use the Scan to E-mail and E-
mail Printing function, you should enable each service, and set the e-mail account information such as
the incoming mail and outgoing mail server addresses, account name and password for incoming mail
server, and the e-mail address of the AR-P15. Also you can configure the advanced properties for e-
mail service.
The E-mail Service options can be set from the Touch Panel Display or Fiery WebSetup WebTool.
To Set up the E-mail Service from Touch Panel Display
1.
Accessing the Setting menu on the Touch Panel Display.

Accessing the E-mail Setup screen.
1. Press [Next] on the Setting menu.
2. Press [E-MAIL SETUP] on the Setting menu.

Press [E-mail SERVICE].
• The E-mail Service option screen is displayed.

Enter each item explained below and press [SET].

• Enable E-mail Service—To enable the Scan to E-mail function, press [ENABLE].
• Print via E-mail—To enable the E-mail Printing, press [ENABLE].
• Administrator’s Address—Enter the administrator e-mail address. If an error occurs while users
executing a scan to e-mail, the e-mail service sends an error message to the Administrator E-mail
address specified here. You can enter only one administrator’s e-mail address here, but you can also
set additional administrator’s e-mail addresses using your e-mail application (See “Managing Address
Books”
P112).
SUPPLEMENT: To enter the value for the Administrator’s Address option, press the entry field to
display the keypad screen. Enter the value using the keypad screen and press [SET] to complete the
entry.
• The screen returns to the E-mail Setup menu.

Press [INCOMING SERVER].
• The Incoming Server options screen is displayed.

Enter each item explained below and press [Next] to proceed to the next setup screen.
• Mailbox Account Name—Enter the e-mail address of the AR-P15.
• Password—Enter a password for a accessing the mailbox account on the mail server.
SUPPLEMENT: To enter the value for the Mailbox Account Name and Password option, press the entry
field to display the keypad screen. Enter the value using the keypad screen and press [SET] to
complete the entry.
