About Setup and Administration
To enable the scan and e-mail functions on the AR-P15, you must set up the scan options and
administering the AR-P15 to provide best use for users.
About Setup
Before Setup
Before setting up the scan and e-mail service features on the AR-P15, please make sure the AR-P15 is
connected to the mail server in the local network work as the illustration below.  You must add the mail
account for the AR-P15 before setting up the AR-P15.  The mail account for the AR-P15 can be
created same as other mail account for e-mail users.

To enable Scan to E-mail function and E-mail Printing, you must set up the E-mail service first.
Step 1: Assigning the DNS server address
DNS server address should be assigned when you use the domain name for POP3/IMAP4 server
address and SMTP server address in the E-mail Setup options.

Step 2: Enabling the E-mail Service and configuring the e-mail properties
In the E-mail Service options, you enable the E-mail Service and E-mail Printing Service, and configure
the E-mail properties such as the incoming mail server, outgoing mail server, e-mail address of the AR-
P15 and so on.

Step 3: Setting up the Other Setup options
In the Other Setup options of the Scan setup, you can enable the Scan to Ftp function.  Also you can
specify the subject and message which are automatically entered to the Scan to E-mail job.

After completing the setting up, users are ready to use the scan and e-mail service functions; however,
administrator should configure the following options to provide users the best environments:
Administering the Scan Users Setting
Scan users are used when operating the Private Scan and organizing the scan templates for each scan
user.  Before users operate the Private Scan, the administrator should create the scan user.

Administering the Templates
Administrator can delete the templates which are created by users.  Also administrator can create the
templates from the scan history for global scan user, or specific scan user.

Administering the User Addressbook
Administrator can create the user addressbook of e-mail addresses to be used for Scan to E-mail.

Administering the Print Addressbook
Administrator can create the print addressbook of e-mail addresses which includes users who have
print access.  Only users whose e-mail addresses are in the print addressbook are authorized to
submit jobs via e-mail to the AR-P15.

Clearing the Scan Job
Administrator can clear all scan jobs stored in the mailbox on the AR-P15 hard disk.
