[Content] The read/write of the RAM on the PRT PWB is checked. This check is performed
in units of words (4 bytes) of the CPU. First, the RAM on the board is tested.
“5555AAAAH” is written in all addresses, and the contents in all the addresses are
read in sequence for verification. If there is no error, 0 is displayed; if there is an
error, 1 is displayed.
Then, the RAM on the SIMM is tested in the same manner as above. If there is no
error, the RAM capacity of the SIMM (0 MB/16 MB) is displayed; if there is any
error, NG is displayed.

[Content] The Centronics port is checked by connecting a special connector which connects
the Centronics port output and input signal wires to each other, to the Centronics
port of the PRT board. Whether the input signal is turned ON/OFF or not is
checked by turning the output signal ON/OFF. Checking is repeated 10 times. If
there is no error, OK is displayed; if there is any error, NG is displayed.

The 2500 ns/500 ns adjustment values are adjusted for the minimum delay time
specified by IEEE1284.

0-127
500 ns adjustment value (default value: 13)
0-127
Normally set to the default and no need to change.
Some personal computers use a limited control method of Centro
communication, and the Centro communication method used in the
AR-5132 may not function. In such a case, change this setting to change the
Centro communication method according to the limited control method.
When the setting is changed, the newly set content becomes effective after termination of
the simulation mode.

(Note)
Since the flash contents are changed in this test as described above, be
sure to execute SIM 67-12 or SIM 67-14 after completion of this test to
download the flash data again.
If the machine is stated without downloading the flash data, the program will
not operate properly, causing F9 error.

Sets select In

SIMULATION No.67-11
 SELECT-IN SIGNAL SETTING[X]:_
     0. ON    1. OFF
INPUT SETUP VALUE AND PRESS PRINT SW
[Content] Processing of Selectin signal at the Centro port is changed.
Normally set to the default and no need to change.
The AR-5132 receives data from Centro only when the Centro control
signal, SelectIn, is active.
In some personal computers, Selectin signal is not active or SelectIn signal
is not connected to the Centro cable. In such a case, SelectIn signal is not
active and the AR-5132 does not receive Centro data.
In the above case, change this setting to "1. OFF," SelectIn signals is
forcibly driven to active in the printer controller, allowing the machine to
receive Centro data.
When this mode is set, the following operation is made:
• 0: Selectin ON
The Selectin signal is connected to the PC as before. Under this state, the
Selectin signal (the output signal from the PC) is controlled by the PC. If,
therefore, the Selectin signal of the PC is i the false state, the centro data
cannot be received.
• 1: Selectin OFF
The Selectin signal is forcibly made True on the PRT board. Under this state,
the Selectin signal (the output signal from the PC) is not connected with the
PC and cannot be controlled by the PC. Since the Nibble mode (as well as
the Device ID due to PnP) is controlled by the Selectin signal, if "1: Selectin
OFF" is selected, the Nibble mode is not effective.
