Keyboard No. [1-99]: Enter the number of the keyboard.

Use the up and down arrow keys, or the page up and page down keys to move the cursor to the keyboard macro
line number you want.

•

Press C to change the macro definition displayed on the screen.

This field displays the macro line number and is for reference only.

The code that the system uses to identify the keyboard macro.  The macro number is the one
you use to define the macro when allocating it to a terminal keyboard position.  Please note that
there may be more than one line with the same macro number.  

Enter each key depression you want to include in the macro, for example, numbers followed
by a function number.  To enter more than one key depression sequence on the same macro
line, you must separate them with a comma after each key type for example, 01F35,12F35.
After entering the Content ,line if F1 is pressed a small help screen will appear as below.

Available key types are as follow:-

Numeric keys are keyed in directly. 

Function keys, where n is the number of the terminal function as set in Function Control. 

Preset PLU keys, where n is the number of the preset PLU as set in Preset PLUs.

List keys, where n is the number of the list.

The UP5700 also has an Extended Macro facility. This allows the selling of items within a list, and
also selection of items from within a management screen. The following selections are now available.

Clear Key

OK Key

Yes Key

No key

Function Menu cell selection n = 1 - 12. n refers to the cell number in the presently displayed menu

Manager Menu cell selection. n refers to the cell number in the presently displayed menu

List item selection. n refers to the cell number in the presently displayed menu

Press END to accept the macro entered.

You can continue to allocate keyboard macros using the same procedure.

•

When you are satisfied the details are correct, press END. 

•

Press R to print the macro details.

The details of all current macros are printed, as seen on the screen.

If the printer is unavailable, a warning message is displayed at the bottom of the screen.  Press ESC
to cancel the report, or check the printer is on-line and then press any key to print the report.

File Maintenance Menu

Choose option 4 - Preset PLUs 

You can assign a particular PLU code to a preset key, so that when the key is pressed on the terminal a sale is
recorded.  A list of 99 preset key numbers are available and 17 key numbers are displayed on the screen at a
time.

When you have selected the preset key number you want, the PLU code can then be entered.  A report showing
the current preset PLUs may be printed.  Having entered the preset PLU keys, you should then allocate a key
position on the terminal keyboard using the Keyboard File function. 

Keyboard No. [1-9]: Enter the number of the keyboard.

Use the up and down arrow keys, or the page up and down keys to locate the preset PLU key number you want

•

Press C to change the preset PLU assignment displayed on the screen.

The code that the system uses to identify the Preset PLU.  This field cannot be changed.

PLU Code: Enter a valid PLU code which identifies the product.  The product description is displayed.

Where you do not know the PLU code number, you can press F2 to display the product numbers and
names.  Use the page up and down keys to locate the product on the list.  Move the highlight to the
product using the up and down arrow keys and press ENTER to select the item.
