Managing Address Books
In addition to using WebPage to manage address books in the AR-P15, the E-mail Service feature
allows an administrator to import a list of e-mail addresses to the AR-P15 address books. This is done
by sending messages to the AR-P15 in e-mail form.
The e-mail messages to manage the address books on the AR-P15 must be sent from an
administrator’s account, which you specified at the E-mail Service options setup. Therefore, you must
specify an administrator’s e-mail address before managing address books using an e-mail messages.
The AR-P15 supports the following address books:
• User Addressbook
<user>—a generic address book used primarily for scan to e-mail. This address
book is used for outgoing e-mail only. This is the User Addressbook which can be managed from
the WebPage.
• Admin Addressbook
<admin>—includes users with administrative access. Administrative access
allows you to modify the address book, get the current address book from the AR-P15, and cancel or
get status on any print job.
• Print Addressbook
<print>—includes users who have print access. Only users whose e-mail
addresses are in this address book are authorized to submit jobs via e-mail to the AR-P15.
Unauthorized users receive an e-mail reply that their job was not accepted by the AR-P15 for
printing. This is the Print Addressbook which can be managed from the WebPage.
The administrator can manage the address books by sending an e-mail to the AR-P15 with command
codes in the subject and message fields. The AR-P15 responds by e-mail to these commands with
information about each request. Refer to the followings when managing address book with e-mail form.
