10. Updating Venta+ with a new version

It may be necessary to update the Venta+ application. This could be to add
new functionality or enhance the program.

This can be done by downloading the new file from the Sharp Technical web
site. Once the file is downloaded copy onto a USB memory stick and insert
the USB Memory stick into the UPX200. Follow the instructions below :-

1.  Copy the new version file from the UPX200 onto the UPX200 root
folder.

2.  Run the file from the UPX200 root folder. It should be noted that the
file will auto delete once installed. This is why it is recommended to
copy the file from the USB memory stick first, otherwise the upgrade
file will be lost.

3.  When the following menu appears select OK. If it does not appear
Venta+ is NOT INSTALLED. Install Venta+ before running the upgrade.

Appendix B – Access Point Setup

Appendix A shows the basic set up of a Wireless Access Point. This
information is supplied as an example of how to set up access points for
use on the UPX200. If coverage cannot be achieved using one Access
Point then identical Access Points should be connected to the system and
used in “repeater “ mode, this will in effect create a large wireless network
with the same identity.

1.  Un-box the Wireless Access Point and obtain its default IP Address this
will be detailed in the supplied documentation. For example in the case
below the unit is a D-Link DWL-2000AP+ and has a default IP address
of 192.168.0.50.

2.  Using a PC with the same subnet as the access point (in this case
192.168.0.nnn) connect the access point to the PC via a hub or cross
over cable. Then using Internet Explorer on the PC enter 192,.168.0.50
into the address bar. This will vary depending  on the access point
used. After entering the default user Name and password specified
with the Access Point the following screen will display.

3.  It is recommended that the IP address of the unit is changed so it can
be accessed from the Venta network. The default Venta PRO IP range
is 192.168.199.nnn so the address for the Access Point should be set
to 192.168.199.50 as follows :-

4.  Other settings that should be disabled are DHCP. The Access Point
should be set to Static IP Addresses
