NOTE OF THE MAIN BOARD ASSY REPLACING
When you replace the MAIN board assy, peel off the sheet (speak-
er) label from the old MAIN board assy before it replace it, and
paste it to the new MAIN board assy.

ABOUT WORKING OF THE BOARD REPLACING
When replaced the MAIN board and SW board, be sure to carry
out the following contents.

The SW board cannot replace with single. Be sure to replace the
MAIN board and the SW board simultaneously.
1. Advance
preparation
To do the work, need the following tools.
Note 2:
Confi rm the method of obtaining the tool to the each service head-
quarters.

“yyyymmdd” of each fi les name represents the date of release.
Note 4:
Each tools, use for the OS of Windows 7 or later.
Note 5:
If you want to run the each tools, please close the SonicStage/x-
Application/Media Go etc. applications.

Procedure:
1. On PC, unzip the prepared tools.
2. Copy the unzip folder to root directory of C drive on PC.

Note 6:
The folder can be saved any drive as long as the folder path is
with English (one byte character).

2-1. Destination setting
Perform the destination setting and the initial setting of the main
unit simultaneously.
The settings by the supplied headphones, or the headphones sup-
plied or not are different. Please refer to “METHOD OF DISTIN-
GUISHING THE “WALKMAN” MAIN UNIT” on page 4 in ad-
vance.

9. The “WALKMAN” reboots automatically after the destination
data is updated. After rebooting, the updating is success when
USB connection screen is displayed on the liquid crystal dis-
play of the “WALKMAN”.

2-4. NC parameter setting
This unit has digital noise cancelling function. Therefore, NC pa-
rameter data for each channel should be writing into NAND IC
when replacing the MAIN board.

When the SW board is defective, because the NC parameter data
of MAIN board is unreadable, be sure to replace the SW board
