MX-M1100 ADJUSTMENTS 6 – 57
By this procedure, the service target is revised.
It is recommended to keep and store the adjustment pattern
adjusted and printed with Sim. 46-16. By using this adjustment pat-
tern, the same copy density and gradation target can be registered
to another machine.
It’s also useful to re-register the service target data.
Do not fold it and keep it under the circumstances which protect it
from discoloration and dirt. The service target data are basically
registered immediately after the copy density and gradation adjust-
ment (Manual) with Sim. 46-16.
The correctness of the service target data can be judged as follows.
Select the service target with Sim. 46-24 and execute the copy
density and gradation adjustment, and check the adjustment result.
When the result is unsatisfactory or abnormal, the registered ser-
vice target data may be improper. This may be caused when an
improper adjustment pattern was used or when a registration error
has occurred (Sim. 63-7).
b. Setting procedure
(Setting procedure of the copy density and gradation as the
service balance target)
1)
It is recommended to keep and store the adjustment pattern

b. Setting procedure
(Setting procedure of the copy density and gradation as the
service balance target)
1)
Use Sim. 46-16 (Copy density and gradation adjustment (man-
ual adjustment) mode) to print two sheets of the adjustment
pattern.
If the copy density and graduation is shifted from the standard,
an adjustment is required. If not, an adjustment is not required.
When an optional copy density and graduation is requested by
the user, make an adjustment.

the user, make an adjustment.
2)
Enter the Sim. 63-7 mode.
3)
Press [SETUP] button.
4)
Set the adjustment pattern which was properly adjusted and
printed with Sim. 46-16 (Manual copy density and gradation

5)
Press [EXECUTE] button.
The adjustment pattern is scanned.
6)
Press [REPEAT] button, set the second adjustment pattern on
the document table, and perform the procedure 5) again.
the document table, and perform the procedure 5) again.
The target density setting level for each density level can be
checked. Check to confirm that the setting level is increased
from B to O gradually. If there is no change or change is
reversed, it is judged as abnormal. In case of an abnormality,
perform the procedure again.

tion of the factory target)

Enter the adjustment value with 10-key, and press [OK] button.
When the adjustment value is increased, the density is
increased. When the adjustment value is decreased, the den-
sity is decreased.
When the arrow key is pressed, the color densities selected
with the color keys are collectively adjusted.
That is, all the density levels (points) from the low density point
to the high density point can be adjusted collectively.
When [EXECUTE] button is pressed, the adjustment pattern is
printed out.
Though each density level (point) can be checked with the
printed adjustment pattern, it is more practical to make an
actual copy (in the Text/Printed Photo mode (Manual)) and
check it.
