Choose option 1 - Modifiers
OVERVIEW
The modifiers provide a way  of selling an item at the  terminal which is not the standard
quantity, for example, glass of wine, child size food portion.  The product code of the item
indicates whether the item is a modified item.  For example, when you add a product to the
product file which may be sold in standard or non-standard quantities (bottle of wine) the last
digit of the product code will be zero and the price would be for the bottle.  Therefore to sell the
bottle of wine as glasses of wine, you should add the product to the product file again but this
time enter the last digit of the product code as the modifier code relevant to a glass portion and
set the price for one glass.
There may be up to nine modifier types set up on the system.  Each modifier has a multiplier
value  and  also a description.  The multiplier value is used by the system to calculate the
number of stock product units sold at the terminal.  For example, where the standard quantity
is a pint of beer, the multiplier value would be 0.50 for  half a pint, or where the standard
quantity is a shot of spirit, the multiplier value would be 2.00 for a double.
Having entered the modifier details, you  should then allocate a key position on the terminal
keyboard using the Keyboard File function.

Choose option 2 - Payment Types
OVERVIEW
Up to eight payment types may  be maintained on the system.  The first payment method on
the list should always be Cash.  Each payment type that you want to use  at the terminal is
assigned a key number, so that when the  key is pressed on the terminal the payment details
can be recorded.
The payment type parameters define the way in which the servers can record the customer’s
pay details on the terminal.  You can specify whether you want to ensure the server enters the
tender  value  when  the  amount due is displayed, whether to allow overtendering, whether
change or gratuity amounts can be entered, and the maximum floor limit of a payment.
Having entered the payment type details, you should then allocate a key position on the
terminal keyboard using the Keyboard File function.  Each payment type is identified in the
keyboard file by the  function codes F27 to F34 (one for each payment type number), for
example, F27 would be payment type number 1 and F30 would by payment type 4.
MAINTAINING THE PAYMENT PARAMETERS
The payment types are listed, and you can select the payment type you require and change
the details displayed.
