ADDING A SERVER

Press A to add a server to the file.

‘A’ (add),   ‘C’ (change),   ‘D’ (delete),   ‘S’ (search),   ‘N’ (nxt rec),   ‘P’ (prev rec)
When you choose to add a server to the file, the fields are cleared ready for you to enter the
details of the new server.
Server No:  Enter the number of the server, up to three digits.  Please note that the system
has reserved server numbers 888 and 999 as training server numbers which you may use  in
place of other numbers.
NOTE:
The maximum number of servers is set in System Parameters.
Server Name:  Enter the name of the server, up to 21 characters.
Authorisation Level:  Enter the authorisation level for this server, 0-5.  The server will be
allowed to perform all  terminal functions (as  set in Function Control) which 
have a
authorisation level less than or equal to the level set  in this field.  For example, a manager
may have a authorisation level of 5 which allows all terminal functions, and some servers may
have a authorisation level of 2 which allows the registration of items but no money
transactions.
NOTE:
An authorisation level of 3 or above must be set for servers with the authority
to access all the Main Menu functions on the terminal.
Cash Drawer:  Enter the code to specify the number of the terminal cash drawer for this
server, 0, 1, or 2.

Server File
Password :  Enter a password for  the server, up to three digits.  The system will display
asterisks (*) in the field for security purposes.  When the server wants to perform a function on
the terminal which requires a password, the password code must be entered exactly.

You can use the up and down arrow keys to move the cursor to any field you have entered and
change the details.
Ä 
When you are satisfied the details are correct, press END to add the server to the file.
CHANGING A SERVER
Ä 
Use the S, N, or P options to locate the server details you want to change.
Ä 
Press C to change the details of the server displayed on the screen.  The change option allows
any field to be amended apart from the server number.

Use the up and down arrow keys to move the  cursor to the required field and  enter the new
details as described in Adding a Server above.
Ä 
When you are satisfied the details are correct, press END to amend the record on file.
DELETING A SERVER
Ä 
Use the S, N, or P options to locate the server details you want to delete.
Ä 
Press D to delete the details of the server displayed on the screen.
Ä 
The message “Record deleted” is displayed at the bottom of the screen.  Press any key to
continue.

OVERVIEW
The table numbers and names can be maintained using this function.  You can add tables to
the file, or change or delete existing tables.  Where you want to change or delete a table, you
must first locate and display the table details.
TABLE FILE OPTIONS
The following options are available to maintain the table file:-
A
To add a new table to the file.  See Adding a Table below.
C
To change the table details currently displayed on the screen.  See Changing a Table
below.
D
To delete the table details currently displayed on the screen.  See Deleting a Table
below.
S
To search for the details of a particular table.  The system will prompt you to enter the
table number.  The table details are then displayed for you  to continue.  
A warning
message will be displayed if you enter a table number which is not currently on the file,
press any key to continue.
N
To display the details of the next table held on the file.
P
To display the details of the previous table held on the file.
END To exit the function and return to the menu.
NOTE:
The  system  will display a warning message for the first or last table held on
the file.

When  you  choose to add a table to the file, the  fields are cleared ready for you  to enter the
details of the new table.
Table No:  Enter the number of the table, three digits are available.
NOTE:
The maximum number of tables is set in System Parameters.
Table Name:  Enter a description for the table, up to 21 characters.
