List File
List Name:  Enter the description for the list, up to 21 characters.

Row:  Enter the number of the first row on the list, 1-8.  For example, if the list is 4 rows, you
could centralise the list on the terminal screen by starting it on row 3.
Column: Enter the number of the first column for text on the list, 1-23.  For example, if the list
descriptions are short, you could display the list on the terminal screen by starting the text on
column 10.
Height:  Enter the maximum number of rows allowed for  a list on each terminal screen
(including any border lines), 1-8.  Please note that the list may contain more products than the
maximum number of rows.  The products will not be displayed on the terminal screen at the
same time but will be displayed according to the number set in this field.
Width:  Enter the maximum number of characters allowed for a row on each terminal screen
(including any border lines), 1-23.
Min items:  Enter the minimum number of selections a server must make when the  list is
displayed on the terminal.  Use 0 if selection is optional.  The server can then press ENTER if
no selection is required.
Max items:  Enter the maximum number of selections a server can make when the  list is
displayed on the terminal.  If maximum items is set  to more than 1, this list will remain
displayed until either this number of items are selected or until the minimum number is
selected and ENTER is pressed by the server.
PLU Items:  This field is set to Y automatically and cannot be changed in this version of the
software.
Border Req’d:  Press the SPACEBAR to select YES and display a double line border around
the list on the terminal, or select NO if no border is required.  Press ENTER to confirm the
selection and move onto the next field.

Numeric Selection:  Press the SPACEBAR to select YES if you want the server to select an
item on the list by entering a single digit.  Alternatively, you can select NO so that the server
has to move a highlight bar to the required item on the  list and  then press ENTER.  Press
ENTER to confirm the selection and move onto the next field.
Visible Frame:  Press the SPACEBAR to select YES  and display the list border on the
terminal screen, or select NO.  Press ENTER to confirm the selection and move onto the next
field.
Link List No:  Enter the number of the list you want to display directly after the server has
selected the item(s) from this list.  For example, you may wish to link the ice cream list to the
toppings list.  Alternatively, enter 0 if there is not a list to link.
NOTE:
Take  care  when setting up linked lists not to link a list into a “chain” which
leads back to itself!  Particular care must be taken with the Menu, Qualifier and
Extras lists defined for condiment products.

You can use the up and down arrow keys to move the cursor to any field you have entered and
change the details, apart from the list number.
Ä 
When  you  are satisfied the details are correct, press END to add the list to the file.  The
products you want to display on the list can then be entered.

PLU Code:  Enter a valid PLU code which identifies the product.  The product description will
be displayed.
A list may contain up to 48 products and you can continue to enter products onto the list one at
time.

Having completed the list you can use the up and down arrow keys, page up and page down
keys, or the HOME key to move the cursor to any product code you have entered and change
the details.
Ä 
When you are satisfied the details are correct, press END to add the products to the list.
REVIEWING A LIST
When the required list is displayed, any field may be amended apart from the list number.  The
list parameters are displayed first.  When you confirm that the parameters are correct, press
END and the products on the list will be displayed for review.

Use the up and down arrow keys to move the  cursor to the required field and  enter the new
details as described in Adding a New List or Adding Products to the List above.
Ä 
When you are satisfied the details are correct, press END to amend the record on file.
NOTE:
There is not a facility to delete a list from the file.  To disable a list, either
replace the details with a new list, or remove the list from the keyboard file.

OVERVIEW
The groups provide a way  of classifying products for  collecting and  reporting on sales
information from the  terminals.  Every product on the product file must be assigned to a
department which in turn must be assigned to a product group.  The group must be set up first,
followed by the departments, and lastly the products.
You can add groups to the file, or change or delete existing groups.  Where you want to
change or delete a group, you must first locate and display the group details.
GROUP FILE OPTIONS
The following options are available to maintain the group file:-
A
To add a new product group to the file.  See Adding a Group below.
C
To change the product group details currently displayed on the screen.  See Changing a
Group below.
D
To delete the product group details currently displayed on the screen.  See Deleting a
Group below.
S
To search for  the details of a particular product group.  The system will prompt you to
enter the group number.  The product group details are then displayed for you  to
continue.  
A warning message will be displayed if you enter a group number which is not
currently on the file, press any key to continue.
N
To display the details of the next product group held on the file.
P
To display the details of the previous product group held on the file.
END To exit the function and return to the menu.
NOTE:
The system will display a warning message for the first or last product group
held on the file.
ADDING A GROUP

Press A to add a product group to the file.
When you choose to add a group to the file, the  fields are cleared ready for you  to enter the
details of the new product group.
Group No:  Enter the number of the product group, two digits are available.
Group Name:  Enter a description for the product group, up to 21 characters.
Ä 
You can use the up and down arrow keys to move the cursor to any field you have entered and
change the details.
