18. In Trading X Reports (4.3 Only)
It is now possible to carry out X reports from within the Application without exiting to the
Manager Screen.
Programming
1.
A new function (Function 77 - Reports). This function can be used like any other
function key.
Operation
Two types of report are available Till/House Cash X and also System Server X
1. Till / House cash Report - To use this report enter 1 followed by Reports (Function 77).
The operator will be asked if an Individual POS Terminal report (Till Cash) is required or a
Total of all Terminals (House)
2. System Server Report - To use this report enter 2 followed by the Reports (Function 77).
The operator will be asked for All Servers or Individual.
N.B Both these reports can be taken at any machine on the system

19. Manager Screens Security Lock (4.3
Only)
This feature has been added to enable the securing of ALL Manager Screens. These include
Manager Main Screen, Reports and also Utilities.
Programming
A new setting in RINCS.CFG has been introduced [GCAUTH] this allows the setting of
authority levels for each button on the Manager Screens.

Each Numeric setting applies to one button on the screen. The exception to this is the
“MAIN” setting, the first setting is for the function ALT-F10 which exits the program to a
DOS Prompt.
So if it was required to set the Manager Main screen so End/Start of Day and Open/Close
Session were only available to users with Authority Level 5 the setting would be
[GCAUTH]

Operation
When a selection is made for a setting that is set for and authority level higher than the user
who has selected it “No Authority” is displayed.

20. AUTO Logon (4.3 Only)
This Feature has been introduced to allow the Logging-on screen to be by-passed. This
allows an operator to go from secure to trading only logging on once. This should be used in
conjunction with server stay down in Till Parameters.
Programming
A new setting has been introduced in  RINCS.CFG :-
REM ==============AUTO LOGON=============
REM TO ENABLE TO GO DIRECTLY FROM THE MANAGER SCREEN TO TRADING, OMITTING
REM THE TRADING LOGGED OFF SCREEN REMOVE REM BELOW
REM AUTOLOGON=1
Operation
If the machines are put into “Secure” at an End of Shift the next operator to logon in secure
will if they select “Trading” go straight into the trading screen by-passing the Logon Screen.

21. Fast Opening and Closing (4.3 Only)
If the terminals are being used with Hard Disk units the speed of opening and closing will be
slower because of disk access time. In order to speed this up a new setting has been
introduced which allows the products to be processed an a RAM Drive which now sets up
automatically on terminal boot-up.
Programming
A new setting has been introduced in  RINCS.CFG :-

REM TO ALLOW FASTER PROCESSING OF PRODUCT FILES GREATER THAN 1000
REM REMOVE REM BELOW (BASEFAST={drive name}:)
REM N.B SET D: IF DIP SWITCH 3,4,5 ON
REM N.B SET F: IF DIP SWITCH 3,4 ON
REM N.B SET E: IF DIP SWITCH 3,5 ALL ON
REM BASEFAST=E:
It should be noted that this setting needs to be set according to the Terminal configuration.
Operation
During the Opening and Closing routines it will be noticed that the terminal reports “copying
from Fast Drive” this means the feature is functioning.
