1. 3. Convergence adjustment
1. 3. 1. Electrical convergence adjustment
• This function is to align each R/G/B convergence in pixels electrically.
1. Project the internal crosshatch pattern and check the misalignment of each R/G/B component.
2. Enter the service mode, and select submenu [ELECTRICAL CONVERGENCE] of [EXTRA OPTION].
3. Select the mode of adjustment with the [ q ][ w ] button and press the [ENTER] button.
- OFF : Does not perform electrical convergence adjustment.
- NORMAL : Adjust the entire screen up, down, left, and right in units of 1 pixels.
- FINE : Adjust the four corners of the screen in the center direction in units of 0.25 pixels.
4. Select the color to convergence adjustment and press the [ENTER] button.
5. Select the item to be adjusted and adjust with [ q ][ w ][ a ][ s ] button.
• Press [ a ][ s ] buttons to adjust VERTICAL, and [ q ][ w ] buttons
to adjust HORIZONTAL.
• Press [ a ][ s ] buttons to select the adjustment point on screen,
and [ q ][ w ] buttons to adjust each items.
6. After completing the alignment, exit the adjustment mode by pressing [MENU] button.
In FINE mode, select [STORE] on the color selection screen and press the [OK] button on the confirmation screen.
The setting value will be saved at this time.
• Because of using the entire pixels of DMD, the edge pixel of the projected screen is missing when adjusted.
• [FINE] Mode adjustment is a temporary adjustment function until mechanical convergence adjustment is
performed. Since the geometry correction circuit is used, the sharpness of the screen deteriorates.

1. 3. 2. Mechanical convergence adjustment
• Use the B component as a standard and align each R/G component onto it mechanically.
• Perform only the [ELECTRICAL CONVERGENCE] (NORMAL mode) adjustment usually, because advanced skills are
necessary for the adjustment.
1. Project the internal crosshatch pattern and check the misalignment of each R/G/B component.
2. Enter the service mode, and select submenu [MECHANICAL CONVERGENCE] of [EXTRA OPTION].
3. Select color and press the [ENTER] button. The adjustment procedure will be displayed on the screen.
1) Loosen 4 fixing screws on the DMD plate you intend to adjust 45-degree turn.
• Please set [ELECTRICAL CONVERGENCE] to "OFF" beforehand.

2) Adjust the horizontal position by turning the H adjustment screw.
3) Adjust the vertical position by turning two V adjustment screws in the
same direction.
4) Adjust the tilt by turning two V adjustment screws in the opposite direction.
5) Repeat steps 2) to 4), until the green and red lines converge properly.
6) After completing the adjustment, tighten 4 fixed screws on the DMD plate.

1. 3. 3. Usage of special wrench
• It is very hard to access the fixing screws on the G-DMD unit in the state of DMD block mounting on the set. We provide a
special wrench for convergence adjustment.
Special wrench part no.: DPKW1001ZA
• This special wrench can also be used for DZ21K2 / RZ12K / RZ31K / RQ13K / RQ32K series.
