PBX Connections
6.4.1.
Connecting to the PBX
One jack of the NCV200 can be connected to 1 jack of the PBX. Use a 4-conductor cable for connection with a Panasonic KX-TD
series or KX-TDA series PBX that uses DPT Integration.

Modular Plug Connection
Insert the modular plug of each telephone cord into an available modular jack of the NCV200.

A PC connected to the NCV200 can be used to program various settings.

USB Connection
An on-site PC can be connected to the NCV200 via USB.

LAN Connection
An on-site PC can be connected to the NCV200 over a local area network (LAN).

Modem Connection
To connect an off-site PC to the NCV200 remotely via modem, an optional Modem Card must be installed in the NCV200 and the

• Do not connect the modem directly to the network. Connect the modem to the PBX as you would a standard single line tele-
phone (SLT). Off-site programming is possible if trunk (CO line) calls from the remote PC are routed to the extension port con-
nected to the VPS modem. Note that the effective data transfer rate of the internal modem (maximum 33 600 bps) will be subject
to the throughput limitations of the PBX.
