(1) Remove the CONTROL Board's Cover. (See 8.2.4.)
(2) Remove the 2 screws that secure the CONTROL Board.
(3) Disconnect the 2 flat cables and 2 connectors from the

board.

(1) Remove the Document Cover. (See 8.2.2.)
(2) Remove the 7 screws that secure the Top Cover.

(3) Turn the scanner's face up. Then, hold and remove the Top

Cover while inserting the gap between the Top Cover and
Bottom Cover with a flat-blade screwdriver.

(1) Remove the Top Cover. (See 8.2.6.)
(2) Unlock the 2 claws to release the PANEL Board from the

scanner.

(3) Disconnect the flat cable to remove the PANEL Board.

(1) Remove the CONTROL Board's Cover. (See 8.2.4.)
(2) Remove the Top Cover. (See 8.2.6.)
(3) Disconnect the connector from the Carriage Home Sensor.

(4) Remove the screw that secures the Carriage Home Sensor.
(5) Remove the Carriage Home Sensor (with the connector).

(1) Remove the CONTROL Board's Cover. (See 8.2.4.)
(2) Remove the Top Cover. (See 8.2.6.)
(3) Disconnect the connector to the Carriage Motor Assy.

(4) Remove the 3 screws that secure the Carriage Motor Assy.

(5) Release the Drive Belt from the gear of the Carriage Motor

Assy. while holding the assembly.

(1) Remove the Top Cover. (See 8.2.6.)
(2) Release the Drive Belt from the Scanning Unit.

(3) Remove the Drive Belt while pushing the Tension Pulley in

the direction of the arrow to release the belt tension.
