NOTE: Installation must be executed in the sequence of the com-

plex machine body, the paper feed option, and the paper
exit option.

NOTE: Before installation, be sure to turn both the operation and

main power switches off and disconnect the power plug
from the power outlet. Make double sure that the data lamp
on the operation panel does not light up or blink when per-
forming installation.

NOTE: To prevent against falling during installation, extend the

stand rail.

1)

Attach the connection plates F/R (Packed items No.4, 5) and
fix them with the screws (Packed items No.2).

1)

Attach the paper guide D (Packed items No.12) with the screw
(Packed items No.1 x2).

1)

Fix the shunt cable connection plate (Packed items No.7) with
the screws (Packed items No.2).

1)

Attach the rear upper cover (Packed items No.8) and fix it with
the screw (Packed items No.3).

1)

Fix the earth bracket (Packed items No.6) with the screws
(Packed items No.1).

NOTE: Use the outside screw holes for fixing.

1)

Return the stand rail to the original position.

2)

Open the front cover of the decurler unit and remove the screw
then pull the lock lever toward.

Connect the decurler to the machine. Insert the pin in the
machine side into the hole of the unit.

4)

Push up the lock lever to fix the unit and the main unit, and use
the removed screw to fix the lock lever.

MEMO: When locking is not possible, readjust the height refer
by instruction of the height adjustment of the main unit and the
options.

NOTE: When the adjuster bolt is turned counterclockwise, the

height is decreased. When turned clockwise, the height is
increased.

NOTE: For the height and tilt adjustment, use the three adjuster

bolts under the unit.

Turn the adjustment nuts of the casters with a wrench in the arrow
direction to adjust the height. (When turning the adjustment nut one
rotation, the height of the curl correction unit is changed by about
1.75mm.)

• To increase the curl correction unit height, turn the nut in the

direction [A].

• To decrease the curl correction unit height, turn the nut in the

direction [B].

NOTE: Use the wrench attached to the finisher.

Adjust the height of the top surface of the unit reference to the
top surface of the main unit by turning the adjuster bolt.

2)

Use adjuster bolt (3) so that the clearance between the
machine and the unit becomes uniform.

1)

Connect the one connector of the unit to the machine, and fix
with the screw.

NOTE: When moving the inserter, use manpower of three or more

persons.

Remove the fixing tape and the protection material from the
inserter.

NOTE: Before installation, be sure to turn both the operation and

main power switches off and disconnect the power plug
from the power outlet. Make double sure that the data lamp
on the operation panel does not light up or blink when per-
forming installation.

1)

Attach the front surface cushion (Long) (Packed items No. 19)
and front surface cushion (Short) (Packed items No. 20) to the
reference as shown below.

1)

Attach the Black Mylar (Packed items No.10) to the paper
guide B.

Attach the Black Mylar to the downstream side of the paper
guide.

Attach to the notch in the rear side as the reference.

2)

Install the connection plate L/R (Packed items No. 4 and 5) to
the paper exit side of the inserter with the screws (Packed
items No. 18 Screw M4x6L).

3)

Install the paper guide B (bundled with the decurler unit No.12)
to the paper exit side of the inserter with the screws (bundled
with the decurler unit No.1).

NOTE: When connecting the MX-RB13 to the back, attach the

paper guide D (bundled with the relay unit No. 9).

1)

Remove the earth plate from the lower section of the inserter
and turn the removed earth plate back and attach it as shown
in the photo below..

2)

Attach the earth plate (Packed items No.7), and fix it with the
screw (Packed items No.18).
