Close the paper feed tray.

4)

Attach the right cabinet, and fix by the screw.

1)

Turn on the dehumidifier heater switch.

2)

Measure the resistance value between the earth terminal and
the AC terminal (L side), and between the earth terminal and
AC terminal (N side) with the circuit tester, and confirm they
are not short-circuited.

MEMO: For 200V system other than North America, there are
two AC cords. For checking with a tester, use the cord in the
right side when viewed from the rear.

When not using the heater after checking, turn off the dehu-
midifier heater switch.

1)

Multi paper feeding unit.

• Confirm that the parts below are included.

*1: Not used in this model.

NOTE: Before installation, be sure to turn both the operation and

main power switches off and disconnect the power plug
from the power outlet. Make double sure that the data lamp
on the operation panel does not light up or blink when per-
forming installation.

1)

Installation of components.

Fix the right lower cover to the cabinet. Fix the LCC cover "R"
CD with 4 screws (M4x10) to the right side of the main unit.

Fix the LCC lower bracket with 2 screws to the right side of the
main unit.

* Please note that the orientation for the installation of “LCC

lower cabinet” varies depending on whether MX-LC12 or
MX-LCX3N is used.

* Guide side is for the installation of the MX-LCX3N and MX-

LC12

Open the multi paper feeding unit and insert the connecter.

* Please remove the dummy connector which is connected to

the connector on the main unit side when installing  the man-
ual paper feed unit.

4)

Install the multi paper feeding unit.

Insert the hooks on the multi paper feeding unit side to the
holes on the side of the main unit to keep them joined.

5)

Fix the lock pawl guide with 3 screws (M4 X 10 S tapping
screw.)

6)

Fix the MF cabinet unit with 3 screws.

7)

Fix the stopper fixing plate of MF cabinet unit with 2 pieces of
screw C to the frame of the main unit of the copier.

8)

Fix the connector cover of the manual paper feed unit to the
frame of the main unit with one M4 X 10 tapping screw.

Insert the pawl of the connector cover to the hole of the rear
frame.

10) Fix the multi paper feeding unit.

Fix the open/close stopper with the drive screw to the multi-
feed paper feed unit.

(Fasten along with the open/close stopper)

11) Fix the MF rear cabinet with 2 pieces of M4 X 10 S tapping

screw to the main unit.

Enter the SIM 40-2 mode.

Insert screw "A" (M4
