When

Using Backup
and Restore.

You have a C: and a D: on your PC
and the backup & restore program
(c:\up5700.bak\5700baka.bat)
is written for a Pc with a single
partitioned hard disk.
To overcome this issue you need
to.:-
make a copy of the
C:\up5700.bak\5700baka.bat file.
Then edit the file and change the
Following settings.
Replace all the F: with G:
and then
Replace all the E: with F:

Why do I lose the
network when the
cash drawer fires
on the UP-5300
machine?

You need to set dip switch 7 on

When I finalise a
transaction, the
cash drawer takes
10 seconds to fire?

This could be due to an
incorrectly configured PMS
setting ie. Check the INNSITE
settings within rincs.cfg.
INNTILL=
INNPORT=
Ensure the machine that the
INTILL setting points to is
powered On, and the cable is
connected to the relevant com
port.

How do I setup the
UP-5700 / UP-5300
to allow me to
accept payments by
Euro, but give
change in sterling.

To do this you need to.
Add a the following macro to the
Payment screen (1F51) called
EURO.
Within Exchange Rates add number
1 to be EURO description EUR with
2 Decimal places and set the
‘Number to Pound’ to be the number
of Euro’s to the pound. Ie 1.612530

If you want the change automatically
to be given in sterling then you can
set the following in Rincs.cfg
XCHANGE=1

To use the feature enter the items
then press Sub, then enter the
amount of Euros followed by
pressing the Euro button.
