Service charge is not working on my
5300 system but it was before.

The fault is due to an invalid entry within the VAT rates within the
product field usually an “S” appears.

This can be caused by downloading from an Old version of IBS or
PCFM.

If using PCFM - On the master POS delete all files in
\USR\UPINST, in FM change all 962 products to the correct VAT
rate, and then re-install PCFM. DO NOT re-install PCFM until the
POS is correct as you will simply re-create the problem.

If using IBS ensure it is set to V4 compatibility, ensure ALL PLUs
are set to a VAT code of A to F. Re-send products.

I have a table open.

I have 2 starters £5.00, 2 mains £10.00, 2 deserts £10.00, bottle wine
£20.00 and 2 coffee £5.00.

When the bill arrives for £110.00 I notice that I have been charged 10%
Service Charge.

When the £20.00 bottle of wine is voided the bill is still £90.00 where it
should be £80.00 with 10% service charge of £8.00 to make a total value of
the bill £88.00

The only way around
this is to void the Wine
and void the Service
Charge then add a
new Service Charge.

Why do I lose the network when the cash
drawer fires on the UP-5300 machine?

You need to set dip switch 7 on

There are two Node 7’s on the
network.

I am having problems networking a terminal - I
am getting when I F8 (Step through) the Dos
Hospitality program "Netbios Error 16 Hex on
add name command". The previous line reads
"Redir 3.22 Node7 Network Redirector". What is
the matter?
