The 5700 / 5300 screen stays blank and
bleeps several times.
Set dip switch 6 on and reboot the Pos then the
machine will Bleep 3 times. Then se Dipswitch
6 off and reboot the pos again.

No printing is taking place on my ER-01PU
printer, but I can copy a file to the Com Port
and it prints !
The problem for this particular caller was the
cable was configured without 6&8 shorted out
at both ends

How do I install an internal UP-i20DP or an
external UP-P20DP customer display.
There are 2 areas that need changing.
1) FM - Select System Configuration - Printer
Configuration & configure a display as follows.
YES     DISPLAY      SERIAL     COM8   UP-P20DP
2) FM - System Configuration - Till Parameters &
change the Display : option to read Remote 2-Line
to change this press the space bar.
The above setting is the same for both the UP-
i20DP & UP-P20DP.
