SECTION 1 SERVICE INFORMATION
<VZ585N/VW545N/VX615N/VZ580/VW540/VX610>
The lamp unit is a consumable component. Since its brightness gradually decreases over time, it is necessary to replace the
lamp unit regularly. The estimated duration before replacement is 5 000 hours, but the lamp may go off before reaching to
5 000 hours, depending on the characteristics of the individual lamp, usage conditions, and the installation environment. It is
recommended that the Replacement Lamp Unit be prepared earlier.
If you continue to use the lamp unit after 5 000 hours has elapsed, the lamp turns off automatically after approximately 10
minutes, as it may cause malfunction of the projector.

Note
• To predict the lamp unit replacement time, convert the runtime of [NORMAL], [ECO1] and [ECO2], which are set from the
  [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [LAMP POWER], to the equivalent runtime of [[NORMAL] respectively. After checking
   the runtime of [NORMAL], [ECO1] and [ECO2] displayed in the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu → [STATUS] → [RUNTIME] →
   [LAMP (ET-LAV400)], calculate the converted runtime by referring to “Formula for lamp unit replacement time
   (rough estimate)”.
• The lamp unit replacement time of 5 000 hours is a rough guideline instead of a guarantee.

The lamp runtime that is displayed in the [STATUS] is real time.
The following conversion is required to calculate the rough estimate for lamp replacement.
Formula for lamp replacement time (rough estimate)
=  “Lamp runtime of [NORMAL] ×1”+ “Lamp runtime of [ECO1]” × 5/6 + “Lamp runtime of [ECO2]” × 5/7
