4. Mount a new polarizer onto the correct position carefully.
<Note> While mounting, Do not touch or scratch the contact pro-
hibition area on the surface of in-coming side of polarizer.

Before replacing the polarizer, refer to "Note on handling of

1. Remove each polarizer. As the polarizers are attached
with adhesive tape, remove them carefully.
<Note> When replacing, pay attention not to scratch or break
the surrounding parts (Prism , LCD panel, etc.). As the
part of LCD panels are adjusted preciously at the factory,
handle the optical block not to apply any power force
on it. We recommend that the projection lens should be
mounted on the optical block while taking the replace-
ment.

2. Cleanly remove the fragment of old adhesive tape on the
optical block.
3. Attach 2 adhesive tapes on the surface of out-going side
of a new polarizer as shown in the figure.
<Note> The adhesive tapes should be attached within 2.0mm
from the edge. After attaching, remove the protection
sheet on it.

Flat screw driver
• Insert the edge of flat screw driver into the adhesive part of
the polarizer and remove it bit by bit by turning the driver.

• Insert the polarizer into the optical block from the side as
shown in the figure and place it along the mounting posi-
tion guides (left) and guides (top).

• After placing, press the both of the side edges gently to
fix the polarizer. Confirm that the polarizer is mounted in

5. Replace remaining polarizer-out (B) and (R) with the
same procedure.
6. After completing the mounting, project the cross-hatch
pattern to check that there is no miss-convergence on the
screen.

1. Remove each 1 screw(M2.5x6) on the polarizer holder and pull the polarizer-out
upward carefully.

1. Remove 2 screws-A(M2.5x6) and remove the condenser lens-out assy
upward off.

1. Remove 1 screw-A(M2.5x8) and remove the integrator lens cover.

1. Unhook 4 hooks to remove the lighting case cover.
