1. Remove 2 screws-A and take off the radiator pump.
2. Remove 4 screws-B and take off the FM-PCB.
3. Remove 6 screws-D and 2 aperture holder, and take off the
DMD aperture unit.
4. Remove the DMD chip from the alignment plate.

How to remove the DMD chip on the alignment plate.
1. Remove the adhesive bond (3 points) on the alignment plate cleanly.
2. Take the DMD chip fixed on the alignment plate by using a flat screw driver.
Insert the edge of flat screw driver into the groove of DMD
chip and alignment plate and lever up the DMD chip. Take
same procedure for another 3 sides of chip to lever up the
DMD chip by little and little.

Hint!
It is easy to remove the adhesive bond by heat-
ing with hot air.

3. Clean up the remained adhesive bond on the plate.

t Apply the heat dissipation compound evenly to the rear
surface of DMD heatsink or DMD radiator pump.
t Take care that compound does not stick out.
DMD chip preparation
1. Stick the copper tape on the edge of the DMD chip.
2. Stick the heat conductive sheet on the DMD chip.
Heat dissipation compound :
Shin-Etsu Silicone [ G-776 ] grade 0.05g
Apply heat dissipation compound

1. Work area
Special clean room is required for assembling the DMD unit.
2. Mounting procedure
1. Mount the DMD chip on the alignment plate.
2. Mount the DMD aperture unit on the alignment plate.
3. Mount the DMD unit without FM-PCB on the DMD block.
4. Mount the FM-PCB on the DMD unit.
5. Mount the radiator pump or heatsink on the DMD unit.
