Image Sensor
Output
1. Click “Image Sensor Output” on the main menu.
2. Push the ADF Door Release to open the ADF Door. And
    hold a sheet of clean white paper between the Scanning
    Glass (F) and Scanning Glass (B), and then close the ADF
     Door.
3. Set the value of “Gain”. (Value:10 to 120)
4. Select a side (Front or Back). 
5. Click “START” on the “Image Sensor Output” dialog box to
   start monitoring the image output level graph.
6. Click “STOP” on the “Image Sensor Output” dialog box to
    finish the test.
7. Click “Close” to return to the main menu.
8. Open the ADF Door, and then remove the paper.
Note:
This operation indicates a
sensor output waveform
to check whether there is
any partial depression of
the level.
If the waveform has any
partial depression, clean
the surface of the
Scanning Glass (F) or
Scanning Glass (B).
When setting "Shading
Correction" 
by checking
check-box, the image
sensor output-level after
shading correction can be
seen.    
Double Feed 
1. Click “Double Feed” for “Test” item on the main menu. 
2. Set “Send Level” on “Double Feed Sensor” dialog box.
3. Push the ADF Door Release to open the ADF Door.
   And hold a piece of clean white paper between Scanning
   Glass (F) and Scanning Glass (B), and then close the ADF
    Door.
4. Click “START” on the “Double Feed Sensor” dialog box to
    start the double feed sensor’s sensitivity test. 
5. Check whether the peak level is within the specification.
    (See Remarks.) 
6. Click “STOP” to finish this test.
7. Push the ADF Door Release to open the ADF Door.
    And remove the white paper, and then close the ADF Door.
8. Click “Close” to return to the main menu.
Memory
1. Click “Memory” on the main menu.
2. Click “START” on the “Memory” dialog box to start Memory
     Read / Write Test.
3. Check the result.
4. Click “Close” to return to the main menu.

refer to Sec. 9.3.2.
Ionizer
1. Click “Ionizer” on the main menu.
2. Click “START” on the “Ionizer Test” dialog box to start
     Ionizer ON /OFF Test.
3. Check the result.
4. Click “Close” to return to the main menu.
 Note:
This test does not starts 
until the ADF Door is 
closed.

Shading
1. Click “Shading” on the main menu.
2. Confirm the message “The data of User Shading will be
    also overwritten”
 on the display.
    And if the message is acceptable, click “OK”.
     Note:
  This procedure is avaiable only after executing User
  Shading. 
3. Clean the conveyor, rollers, Scanning Glass (F), and
     Scanning Glass (B) according to the message on the display.
     And click “OK”.
4. Reverse Reference Plates to white according to the message
    on the display.
    And click “OK”.
5. Set the accessory Shading Sheet or Shading Sheet
   (Part No.: See 14.8.) on the Hopper in landscape
    orientation.
6. And click “OK” to scan the Shading Sheet.
7. Reverse the Reference Plates to black according to the
    message on the display.
8. Click “OK” to return to the main menu.
Until this process is
completed, don’t stop the
process by opening any
doors or turning off the
scanner. 
All Position
1. Set 2 pcs of test chart A (Part No.: See 14.8.) on the Hopper
    in portrait orientation.
2. Click “All position” on the main menu to execute scanning
    position, length, width, and paper end adjustment. 
3. Check the result.
4. Click “OK” to return to the main menu.

Individual Position 1. Adjust Automatically.
    a. Set test chart A (Part No.: See 14.8.) on the Hopper.
    b. Click “Individual Position” on the main menu.
    c. Click one of 8 “Adjust Automatically” buttons on the
        “Individual Position” dialog box to execute the
        adjustment.
    d. Check the result.
    e. Click “OK” to finish the adjustment.
     f. Click “OK” to return to the main menu.
2. Adjust Manually.
    a. Click “Individual Position” on the main menu.
    b. Change the parameter (mm,%) on the “Individual
        Position”
 dialog box as required. (Refer to Remarks.)
    c. Click “OK” to renew the setting, and to return to the
        main menu.

         timing to be earlier

      -: Decreasing the number
         extends the scanning
          document width.

If the appropriate
scanning position can
not be obtained by any
of the manual
adjustments, check 
installation.
