8.2.8.
CIS (B)
(1) Remove the Top Cover. (See 8.2.6.)
(2) Disconnect the flat-cable to the RELAY Board.
(3) Unlock the 2 Guides of CIS (B) (1 from each side) to release
the CIS (B) from the scanner.

(4) Pull and remove the CIS (B) in the direction of the arrow.
(5) Disconnect the flat-cable to the CIS (B).
(6) Release the 8 locking sections to remove the Adjustment
Conveyor with Scanning Glass (B)

Reassembling Note:
1. Make sure that all 8 locking sections are snapped back
in place when attaching the Adjustment Conveyor with
Scanning Glass (B) to the CIS(B)'s base.
2. Make sure to put the CIS (B) on the right side as seen
from the front at first so that the appropriate scanning

Mechanical Block
8.3.1.
Base Plate
(1) Remove the Rear Cover. (See 8.2.5.)
(2) Remove the CONTROL Board. (See 8.4.4.)
(3) Release the connector cables from the 2 clamps on the Base
Plate. Then release the cable wires from the core.

(4) Remove the 5 screws and the screw with the FG cable,
according to the arrows stamped on the Base Plate.

Then, pull out the flat-cable from the slit of flat-type core.

(1) Remove the Base Plate. (See 8.3.1.)
(2) Remove the Ground (Earth) Plate 2.
(3) Remove the screw (a) and the Tension-plate Assembly with
the spring. Then remove the 2 screws (b) and the Side-plate
Assembly.
