1.  Set the main unit assembly to the infinity end and insert counterclockwise the helicoids male as far as it goes.
2.  Install the lens unit assy to the main unit assy, aligning the driving wheel pin with the cut portion (working part of driving wheel pin).
3.   Install the lens unit assy to the main unit assy, aligning the driving wheel pin with the cutout (working part of driving wheel pin).

  Insert three projections of rear frame assy in three grooves of vertical group cylinder.

  Insert three projections of outer tube in three grooves of focus ring assy.

4.  Tighten with three screws.

  Install screws in the center of oblong holes of filter screw frame.

1.  Assemble the main unit assy into the outer barrel with rotating counterclockwise the main unit assy.

  Insert, aligning the round mark on the outer barrel with the round mark on the rear frame assy.

  Rotate clockwise the main unit assy until it clicks and engage the front frame assy with the outer barrel.

1.  Install the rear frame assy to the front frame assy, and secure the rear frame assy with three screws.

  Align the projection of the front frame assy with the cutout of the rear frame assy.

1.  Apply the grease (G-36) to the rear frame assy.

1.  Apply the grease (G-36) to the indicated portions of helicoid male and helicoid female.

2.  Set the focus ring assy to the infinity (

) end.

3.  Assemble the helicoid male into the helicoid female with rotating counterclockwise the helicoid male.

  Insert the helicoid male into the helicoid female so that aligning the index pin of middle lens barrel assy with the inscription 

(PC) on the helicoid male.

  Rotate clockwise the helicoid male until it clicks and engage the helicoid female with the helicoid male.

  When assembling counterclockwise the helicoid male as far as it goes, confirm that the round concave of helicoid male and the 

vertical groove of focus ring assy locate as shown in the illustration.

1.  Apply the grease (G-36) to the shaded portion of vertical groove cylinder.
2.  Apply the grease (G-36) to the concaves of vertical grooves of vertical groove cylinder. (three locations)

3.  Apply the grease (G-116) to the indicted portion of middle lens barrel assy.

1.  Apply the grease (G-22) to the gear of focus ring assy.
2.  Apply the grease (G-116) to the part A of focus ring assy.
3.  Apply the grease (NCPOP2B) to the brush sliding surface of focus encoder flexible board.

  Apply the grease (NCPOP2B) two coats to the indicated portion.

4.  Install the focus ring assy to the middle lens barrel assy.

  Attach the stopper on focus ring assy facing to the projection as shown in the figure.

5.  Install the vertical groove cylinder to the middle lens barrel assy and fix it with three screws.

  Align the cut portions (working part of driving wheel pin) of both parts.

6.  Confirm the operation of the focus ring.

  Confirm the focus encoder flexible board is seen from the attaching portion of Focus Brush.

1.  Stick the anti-reflection sheet (b) to the indicated portions.

  Align the anti-reflection sheet (b) edge with the vertical groove cylinder inner side edge and middle lens barrel assy inner side 

edge.
