2. Installation
NOTE: Be sure to install the punch unit before installing the finisher to
the main unit. In the case of installing the punch unit afterward,
remove the finisher from the main unit once.

power switches off and disconnect the power plug from the
power outlet. Make double sure that the data lamp on the
operation panel does not light up or blink when performing
installation.

A. Installation of the punch unit
1)
Remove the tapes from the packing materials.

When the finisher is connected to the main unit, disconnect the
interface cable and remove the finisher.

Remove the rear cabinet of the finisher.
4)
Incline the upper part of the rear cabinet, and remove the rear
cabinet while lifting the pawls of the rear cabinet.

Open the front cabinet of the finisher.

Remove the knob.
7)
For MX-FN29 (Saddle finisher), remove the knob.
8)
Unscrew the screw fixing the inner cover.

For MX-FN29 (Saddle finisher), disconnect the interface connec-
tor connected to the inner cover.

10) Open the upper cover, and remove the resign ring.
11) Unscrew the screws (x2) at the front side, and remove the guide
plate.

plate.

13) Take out the guide plate.
* The guide plate taken out is unnecessary. Be sure to ask the
customer if it should be disposed of.

14) Insert the hopper (Packed item No.4) from the paper feeding side
of the finisher.
15) Pass the harness to the outside of the blade.
16) Fix the inserted hopper with the screw.
17) Pass the harness through the clamp, and fix it.
18) Insert the stay from the front side of the finisher.

19) Place the shaft on the dent section at the right side of the plate.
20) Fix the front side with the screw.
21) Fix the right side with the screw.
22) Insert the guide plate (Packed item No. 3) from the right side of
the finisher.
23) Hook the pawls of the front side and right side to the flame of the
main unit, and fix the guide plate.
