E. Firmware Update
1) Trouble code “E7-47” appears. It mean s MFP & MX-EB1 1
board incompatible.
2) Execute SIM49-10 "ACU UPDATE".
* Only in case the option board connect sensor "ON" SIM49-10
appears on the screen.
3) As shown below, "COMPLETE" a ppears. Then press OK to
finish.
4) Restart the MFP.
All procedures are completed. .
F. Confirmation of connection
1) Execute SIM22-10 to check to confirm that the combined
machine recognizes the MX-EB11.

1. Unpacking
A. Packed items check
Note for installing the mirroring kit

2. Data backup
When the mirroring kit is installed to a machine which has not been
used, this procedure is not required. Backup of data with a machine
which has been used is made in order to provide against a failure in
automatic copy of data to the HDD of the kit.
1) Use SIM56-2 or Web Page to backup the HDD data.
(Device cloning data / Storage backup data)

(Document filing data)
3) Use SIM56-4 or Web Page to backup the HDD data.
(Jog log data (Reinstallation disable))
3. Installation
Before installation, be sure to turn both the operation and main
power switches off and disconnect the power plug from the power
outlet. Make double sure that the data lamp on the operation panel
does not light up or blink when performing installation.
A. Left cabinet and shield plate removal
1) Remove the left cabinet.
2) Remove the shield plate.
B. Mirroring unit attachment
1) Before attachment of the mir roring kit, remove the protection
sheet from the mirroring kit.

Put a mark on both the mirroring kit HDD and the machine
HDD with a marker pen to indicate the use history.
2) Disconnect the connector of the standard HDD. Attach the mir-
roring unit to the st andard HDD, an d connect the connector.
Fix the mirroring unit with the screw included in the package.
3) Connect the connector to the RAID PWB of the mirror ing unit.
Connect the harness connector of the RAID to the MFP control
PWB.
Remove the HDD power harness from the clamp, and arrange
the harness so that pass on the mirroring unit.
Installation procedure
1) Wind the RAID harness around the power harness and the

2) Pull the RAID harness to bind the power harness and the
upper-side HDD SATA harness together.
3) Connect the harness connector of the RAID to the MFP control
PWB.
C. Shield plate and left cabinet attachment
1) Attach the shield plate.
2) Attach the left cabinet.
D. Turn ON the power of the main unit
1) Turn on the main power switch and the operation panel power
switch.
Date copying from the standard HDD to the mirroring unit HDD
is started. It is called "Rebuilding.”
2) Check to confirm that the machine is booted.
It takes about two hours to complete rebuilding. Do not turn off
the power during reb uilding. When, however, the power is
turned off during rebuilding, turn on the power again, and
rebuilding will be continued. During rebuilding, a message is
displayed to indicate the ope ration. A job can be per formed
during rebuilding, though the job speed may be reduced.
4. Operation check
1) Check to confirm that the mirroring kit active icon is displayed.
2) Use SIM62-20 to check to co nfirm that the H DD status is

3) Perform copying and check to confirm that machine is normally
operating.
5. Deleting the HDD mirroring
information
Be deleting the HDD mirroring information, the HDD can be used
under the mirroring kit environment.
