Status/Control overview

This section describes the Fiery AR-PE2 functions on the copier Operation Panel. The
copier Operation Panel is located on the front side of the copier. You will use the buttons
on the LCD window of the copier Operation Panel to access and monitor different
features of the Fiery AR-PE2. This guide does not attempt to describe all functions of the
Operation Panel, only those functions that pertain to the Fiery AR-PE2.

Status/Control overview
Current status and Setup information is displayed on the copier Operation Panel LCD
window. Print activity can be monitored on the LCD window, and specific Fiery AR-PE2
functions (such as printing a Test Page and installing or updating system software) are
controlled using the buttons on the LCD window. To gain access to Fiery AR-PE2
functions, you must press the Print key on the left side of the Operation Panel and press
the OFFLINE button in the LCD window.

Screens
While one or more jobs is being sent to the Fiery AR-PE2, runtime information is
displayed on the copier Operation Panel LCD. If an Alert condition arises, the Alert
screen is displayed. Pressing the Menu button cycles from the Info screen to any active
runtime screens (RIP, Print, Alert). The Menu button is located between the two arrow
buttons on the left side of the LCD. Press the Menu button to return to the Functions
screen.

Normally, if no jobs are currently being processed or printed, the Info screen displays Idle

Using the copier Operation Panel
Functions screen
The Functions screen allows you to perform a variety of administrative functions that do
not affect print jobs of other users. To access the Functions screen, press the Menu button
between the two arrow buttons on the left side of the LCD. Use the up/down arrow keys
to scroll through the list of menu items. Press the corresponding selection button to the
right of the desired option. Press the Menu button or do nothing to return to the Info
screen.
