■ Sort logs

The logs are listed in order of “Date” at first. You can sort in order of
another to push header. For example, if you push [Kind] header, the list
is sorted in order of “Kind” as below.

■ Filter logs

Select “View” - “Select Kind of Log” in menu bar, then following window
appears.

Then check the radio button of “Kind” that you want to display  (All
“Kind” are checked as default) , and push [OK] button. It lists the logs
checked “Kind” only. If you push [Select None], all radio buttons will be
unchecked. If you push [Select All], all radio buttons will be checked.
Since the filtering setting is not saved, setting must be made every time
when the tool is booted.

■ Compensate log time

This tool can compensate log time with PC’s time, because information
display is not set date and time.

      ・

It cannot display correct time in case that PC’s time is not correct   

         when it get logs or in case that user changed information display’s 

         date or time within the range of logs.

Select “View” - “Compensate Log Time by PC Time” in menu bar. Then,
the item in menu is checked and “Date” is compensated by PC’s time.
(It’s not checked and not compensated as default.) 

■ Output CSV text file

Select “File” - “Create Treated CSV File” in menu bar. Then, dialog which
asks file name appears. Specify file name and push [Save] button. 
It output CSV file filtered, sorted and time compensated (if checked) .
(Log file (*.rep)  is not affected filtering, sorting and time compensating.) 

■ Clear logs

Select “File” - “Clear Logs” in menu bar. Then, confirming dialog as
below appears.
Logs stored in information display will be removed if you push [OK] but-
ton.

It erases logs in information display and list, so you should store logs to
file if you need to find out a problem.

For the logs of “Power OFF cause,” “Signal change,” and “Operation,”
when the number of items exceeds the maximum number, the oldest
one is deleted and the newest one is saved. When, however, even one
log of “Abnormal state” is saved, the logs of “Power OFF cause,” “Sig-
nal change,” and “Operation” are not revised in order to maintain the
analysis information at occurrence of the abnormality. In such a case,
clear the logs with this function.

This tool allows saving the setting contents of the machine into a PC.
If the user’s request on the setting is known in advance, make the requested setting by using a machine of the same model in the sales depot before
installing the product in the user’s site, and save the setting to a PC. After installation, transfer the setting in the PC to the user’s PC. (There are some
setting contents which cannot be saved.)

The operating conditions of the user setting value tool of the information
display are as shown below.

The required RS-232C cable is as shown below. Connect the COM port
of PC and the RS-232C input terminal of the Display with the cable.

For LAN connection, setting must be made both in the PC side and the
display side. For details of LAN, refer to the Operating Manual.

Press [User Setting value] button of the service tool launcher.

1 ) Press [Connection Setting] button to make connection setting.

2 ) Turn ON the information display.

3 ) Select the range of set values to be backed up.

4 ) Press [Backup ...] button.

5 ) The dialog for saving the file is displayed. The initial file name is

“[The last two digits of Serial number]_[Model name]_[Serial num-
ber]_[Date(YYYYMMDD)]_[Data type].bak”. 
Check the file name and press [Save] button to save the user set-
ting values.  

      ・

 When you used the saved data for the restoration of 

             the machine, do not chnage the file name.

1 ) Press [Connection Setting] button to make connection setting.

2 ) Turn ON the information display.

3 ) Press [Restore ...] button, and select the saved backup file.

4 ) After completion of restoring, the information display is reset.

      ・

 When the massage of “This Monitor is not Support. Is restore 

            processing continued?”, “Backup data is not for this monitor. Is 

            restore processing continued?”, “Serial Number is different 

            between monitor and backup data. Is restore processing 

            continued?”, or “Model Name is different between monitor and 

            backup data. Is restore processing continued?” is displayed, the 

            backup of the target set may be failed. Check again, and perform 

            restoring.

      ・

 Some setting contents cannot be saved by this tool.

     ・

 Check the power status of the information displayed which is 

           connected.

     ・

 Check to confirm that the PC and the information display are 

           properly connected with an RS-232C cable.

     ・

 Check to confirm that the COM port which is set by another tool 

           is not used. If the COM port is used by another tool, turn OFF 

           the tool.

     ・

   The display which is connected is not supported by this tool. Use 

           a tool which supports the displayed connected.

This tool is used to display the test pattern  to check that the parts and the LCD module are securely connected after replacement, removal or disas-
sembly of the I/F PWB, the C-PWB, the LVDS cable, and the LCD module.

The operating conditions of the Test pattern tool of the information dis-
play are as follows.

■ When connected to the information display
with an RS-232C cable

The required RS-232C cable is as shown below. Connect the PC’s 
COM port and the RS-232C input terminal of the display with the cable. 

■ When connected to the information display
with a LAN cable

To use a LAN communication, settings must be made both in the PC side
and in the display side. 
For details of LAN, refer to following description.

      ・

 This tool does not operate normally in the power standby 

            state or the signal standby state. Provide a signal to the current 

            input or set the power management to “NO.”

Press [Test Pattern] button of the service tool launcher, and the follow-
ing message is displayed. Check to confirm that a jig is installed, and
press [OK] button.
For connection of the jig, refer to the following.

* Only PN-R903 need the jig.

The test procedures by use of the test pattern tool are as follows:

1 ) Press [Connection Setting] button and perform the communication

setting. 

2 ) When [UP] or [DOWN] button is pressed, the pattern is changed in

the sequence shown below. 

3 ) When [EXIT] button is pressed, the tool is terminated. To cancel

the display pattern, turn OFF the main power.
