17. SAVE LOG TO THE USB FLASH DRIVE                                                                           
17-1. USB FALSH DRIVE
 
It is necessary to prepare the USB flash drive which supports the 
following standard.   
- Format : FAT32/FAT16(The upper limit of the cluster size is 
32KB) 
- USB 2.0/1.1 
<CAUTION> 
- The card reader for the SD card is not supported   
- Set the proper name to the volume label   
- USB hub is not supported.     
- Do not use the encrypted USB flash drive.     
- Turn OFF and ON the main power right after the model name is 
changed.    
 
17-2. SAVE THE LOG
 
1) Press the [ENTER] from the [SAVE LOG] of [SERVICE 
MENU3]. The following message is displayed.     
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
2) Connect the USB flash drive to the monitor.   
      The connector of the USB flash drive is coved.     
3) Select the [YES] and press the [ENTER].  The setting is 
saved.   
4) When the saving operation is finished, the operation moves 
back to the Service Menu.     
The initial file name is “XXlog_[Model name]_[Serial number]  
[Date(YYYYMMDD)]_[Data type].dat”.  This is saved in the 
[Model Name] folder in the USB flash drive.     
5) When the saving operation is failed, the following message is 
displayed.    Connect the USB flash drive again or turn OFF and 
ON the monitor and save the log again.

6) When the saving operation is failed repeatedly, change the 
USB flash drive.     
 
 
 
 
 
17-3. ERROR MESSAGE
 
Could not save. Drive has no free memory 
  There is no space to save the log file in the USB flash drive.     
 
- USB not recognized. Check the connection. 
  The monitor cannot recognize the USB flash drive.     
 
- Failed to save file 
    The name of the saving file is overlapped with the one in the 
USB flash drive.     
  It is not possible to write the log lie to the USB flash drive.

18. USER SETTING TOOL OPERATION PROCEDURES                                     
This tool allows saving the setting contents of the machine into a PC. 
If the user’s request on the setting is known in advance, make the requested setting by using a machine of the same model in the sales 
depot before installing the product in the user’s site, and save the setting to a PC. After installation, transfer the setting in the PC to the 
user’s PC. (There are some setting contents which cannot be saved.) 
<CAUTION>  
- The saved user setting values can be used with the same model of the monitor.     
- The operation of the monitor cannot be guaranteed when the saved user setting values are written to the different model of the monitor.   
 
There are two kinds of the procedures to save or set the user setting values.   
- Use the service tool 
Refer to the “USER SETTING TOOL OPERATION PROCEDURE”.     
- Use the USB flash drive   
Refer to the “SAVE OR RESTORE THE USER SETTING VALUES TO THE USB FALSH DRIVE”. 
 
18-1. OPERATING CONDITIONS OF THE USER

The operating conditions of the Gamma setting read tool of the 
information display are as follows.

1 ) Press [Connection Setting] button to make connection setting. 
2 ) Turn ON the information display. 
3 ) Select the range of set values to be backed up.

4 ) Press [Read] button. 
5 ) The dialog for saving the file is displayed. The initial file name 
is “XXprop_ [Model name]_[Serial number] 
[Date(YYYYMMDD)]_[Data type].bak”. 
Check the file name and press [Save] button to save the user 
setting values. 
<CAUTION> 
When you used the saved data for the restoration of the machine, 
do not change the file name.

18-4. USER SETTING VALUE RESTORING 
PROCEDURES 
1) Press [Connection Setting] button to make connection setting. 
2) Turn ON the information display. 
3) Press [Write ...] button, and select the saved backup file. 
4) After completion of restoring, the information display is reset.
 
 
<CAUTION> 
When the massage of “This Monitor is not Support. Is restore 
processing continued?”, “Backup data is not for this monitor. Is 
restore processing continued?”, “Serial Number is different 
between monitor and backup data. Is restore processing 
continued?”, or “Model Name is different between monitor and 
backup data. Is restore processing continued?” is displayed, the 
backup of the target set may be failed. Check again, and 
perform restoring. 
Some setting contents cannot be saved by this tool.
 
WHEN “TIME OUT. CANNOT CONNECT. PLEASE 
CONFIRM SETTING.” IS DISPLAYED: 
Check the power status of the information displayed which is 
 connected. 
Check to confirm that the PC and the information display are 
  properly connected with an RS-232C cable. 
WHEN “CANNOT OPEN INTERFACE. CANNOT 
CONNECT.    PLEASE CONFIRM SETTING” IS 
DISPLAYED: 
Check to confirm that the port which is set by another tool 
  is not used. If the port is used by another tool, turn OFF 
 the 
tool. 
WHEN “THIS MONITOR IS NOT SUPPORT. IS XXXX 
PROCESSING CONTINUED?” IS DISPLAYED: 
The display which is connected is not supported by this tool. Use

19-1. USB FALSH DRIVE
 
It is necessary to prepare the USB flash drive which supports the 
following standard.

19-2. SAVE THE USER SETTING VALUE
 
1) Press the [ENTER] from the [SAVE/RESTORE SETTINGS   
  VALUE] of [SERVICE MENU3].    The following message is

2) Select the [SAVE] and press the [ENTER].    Select the items to 
save and press the [ENTER].

The settings which are not saved: 
- IP address of the LAN 
- Settings which are changed by the input 
signal like clock, phase, etc.

3) Connect the USB flash drive.     
4) Select the [YES] and press the [ENTER].  The setting is 
saved. 
5) When the saving operation is finished, the operation move   
 
back to the Service Menu.     
  The initial file name is “XXlog_[Model name]_[Serial number]  
[Date(YYYYMMDD)]_[Setting range information].bak”.  This is 
saved in the [Model Name] folder in the USB flash drive.     
6) When the saving operation is failed, the following message is   
displayed.  Connect the USB flash drive again or turn OFF 
and ON the monitor and save the log again.

7) When the saving operation is failed repeatedly, change the 
USB flash drive.     
 
19-3. RESTORE THE USER SETTING VALUE
 
1) Select the [RESTORE] and press the [ENTER].    Select the 
items to save and press the [ENTER].       
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
2) The files saved in the [Model name] folder in the USB flash   
   drive are displayed.  Select the file to restore and press the 
[ENTER].   
The restore operation is started. During the operation, do not 
disconnect the USB flash drive.

3) When the operation is finished, the monitor is turned OFF and 
ON.
