The following information can be used as a guide to importing a complete
product file or updating an existing database via CSV file import.
The csv file could be data that has been exported from another POS system.
It is important to adhere to the csv specification described below.
Creating the CSV file
For product data there are 2 different types of CSV file
1.
 
Prod.csv (when imported the existing product database will be
overwritten by the products contained within the PROD.CSV file)
2.
 
Produpd.csv  (when imported the products contained within the
PROSUPD.CSV file will be added to the existing product database)
The csv file is made up of 28 columns separated by commas as described
below

Importing the Produpd.csv and Prod.csv file
Once the csv file is finished start the Sharp POS software V4 and place the
csv file into the C:\VPro\COMMSIN\NOW folder the file will then de imported
into the database.
