When using SharpPOS Standard loyalty schemes, it is now possible to set a 
limit on the usage of loyalty staff cards. This is achieved by the ability to set a 
money limit for loyalty cards that are configured as staff cards. 
 
There are 3 types of limit available for each Loyalty Scheme, these limits may 
be defined for sales within a day, a week or a calendar month. To allow for 
seasonal variation, each calendar month’s limit can be set individually.

1.  The limits are set within VPM - Configure - Loyalty. When a scheme is 
created with the ‘Staff card’ tab enabled, the new tab ‘Staff Limits’ 
becomes enabled where limits per day, per week and for each month 
may be set. A value of 0 means no limit. As shown above.

Note!. That all sales for a given card, count towards the limit. Furthermore 
when calculating the sales total all item / subtotal and differ discounts are 
ignored, as are any mix-match promotions that may be triggered. 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
 
2.  When adding items to a transaction to which a staff card has been 
assigned. It is not possible to add items which would cause a limit to 
be exceeded. If a card is swiped during a transaction which would 
cause the limit to be breached, the card is refused. As shown above. 
The check is also made when assigning a card number and when 
selling items through the hand-held interface.
