ERA490/610
Clerk/Cashier
The Clerk/Cashier system on the UP600/700 is much more flexible than previous
machines .
You will notice a change to the System Pre-set line 910.
There is no selection required for the type of clerk system i.e. Clerk Code entry
or Clerk Pre-sets or Real keys as any combination of theses systems can now be
operational on the UP600/700.
There are 12 real Clerk keys as standard (this can be upgraded to 126)
Before you can use the Real key system you must set a key number in Program
position
if the key number is left at zero then the Real Key does not work.
The Real key will always take priority over the code or pre-set entry. (e.g. if the
Real key is inserted you will be unable to sign on with another code or pre-set.)
Overlap Clerk
The Overlap feature is for Clerks only (not Cashiers)
When setting up Overlap on this machine, as well as carrying out the usual jobs such
as creating overlap file  and changing job 910-A you will also have to set job code
909-D (Transaction in progress) even if you are not using the real key system.
Each Overlap file takes up approximately 10k of RAM
Customer Bill Print
The GC RECEIPT feature works slightly different to the ERA770 and UP3300.
You have to use the Intermediate feature for customer bills before finalisation.
However there is a line (928-C) which will prevent zero priced items being
printed.
