ESTABLISHMENT OF THE LSU HEATER UNIT
AS A SERVICE PART

2.General:
There was a problem of the copy images sometimes coming out poorly due to the
formation of moisture on the inside of the machine when the model listed above was used
in places with particularly bad environmental conditions. As a measure to alleviate this
problem, the LSU heater unit has been established as a service part.

Attachment Procedures for the LSU Heater Unit
The LSU motor unit should be attached by following procedures 1 through 7 as described below.
1.
Remove the rear cabinet and the right upper cabinet.
2.
Disconnect the 4-pin harness (used for the scanner heater) of the main harness R, and set up a relay
with the LSU heater harness in between. (Please refer to the figure shown below.)
3.
Insert the connector of the LSU heater harness through the panel lock hole for the LSU heater
located above the tray paper feeding unit panel lock of the rear frame. (Please refer to the figure
shown below.)
4.
Use the double-sided tape of the wire saddles (Qty: 2) to suitable attach them to the square pipe
section of the rear frame of the machine, and arrange the wire disposal for the LSU heater harness.
(Please refer to the figure above.)
5.
Insert the LSU heater unit from beneath the reinforcement plate on the paper feeding side, and
secure it with a screw (M4 x 6 S-tight screw).
6.
Connect the connector of the LSU heater unit with the connector of the LSU heater harness that was
inserted through the panel lock hole of the rear frame. (Please refer to the figure above.)
7.
Reset the right upper cabinet and the rear cabinet.
