SPECIAL FUNCTIONS
• Direct Time Skip
Direct time skip lets you skip directly to a specific location on a disc.
When a disc is playing, make notes of the elapsed time at the
locations to which you later want to skip. Later you can skip directly
to a location by specifying its time.

While a disc is playing, press DIRECT three times. (Once for a
title, twice for a chapter and three times for a time.)
• This function is disabled in stop mode.

Using the number buttons (0 to 9) or ', ", enter the time.
• Use \ or | to move the highlighting to the next or previous
digit.

Press ENTER to skip to the point you specified.
• If no button is pressed within 10 seconds, the specification
display disappears.

Programmed Playback
The two types of programmed playback provided by this Player are
title programmed playback, chapter programmed playback.
Title Programmed Playback

Press PROGRAM while the disc is stopped.
• The “TITLE PROGRAM” screen appears.

Use the number buttons (0 to 9) to enter the title numbers in 
– –
and then press M (MEMORY). (The highlight moves to the right
(next field).)
• If the entered title number does not exist on the disc, the
number is ignored when M (MEMORY) is pressed. Press
C (CLEAR) to clear.
(Example) Title 5 entered.

Repeat step 2 for each of the titles that you want to play as part
of the program.
• If you enter two or more digits, only the last two digits are
displayed.
• If you hold down C (CLEAR) for 2 seconds or longer while
you are entering numbers, all the entered numbers are
erased and the highlight returns to the initial (top left)
position.
• If you press C (CLEAR) while you are entering a title number,
the number entered reverts to 
– –
.
• If you press C (CLEAR) when the Player is awaiting input
(cursor in

 ), the cursor highlight returns to the previous
location.

Repeat Playback
Chapter Repeat
1
If you press REPEAT while a disc is playing, the current chapter
is played repeatedly.
Title Repeat

If you press REPEAT during chapter repeat playback, the
current title is played repeatedly.
• The front panel displays are the same as for chapter repeat
playback.
Repeat Off

Press REPEAT during title repeat playback to quit the repeat
playback operation and resume normal playback.
• The TV screen and front panel displays are the same as for
normal playback.
Each time REPEAT is pressed, the repeat playback operation
changes in the following sequence:

Title repeat
• Repeat playback is disabled on some discs.
• On discs without chapters, the Player repeats the current title.
