3.7.
Confirming the elite Panaboard Operation
After assembling the elite Panaboard, confirm that it operates properly by following the procedure below.
3.7.1.
Confirming the Interactive Features
1. Install the elite Panaboard software (refer to the Operating Instructions for this model.), and connect the included USB cable.
2. Confirm that the interactive features are operating correctly.
• If a projector is not available, confirm operation using only the elite Panaboard and computer.
• When the elite Panaboard software starts, the calibration screen is displayed on the computer screen.
• Perform tentative calibration by pressing the 4 points on the elite Panaboard with the electronic pen, as shown in the illustra-
tion below.
For precise adjustment, it is necessary to use a projector.
• With the elite Panaboard software running, enter White Background mode and select the marker tool. Confirm operation by
writing on the screen board with the electronic pen and checking that the writing is displayed on the computer's screen. (Your
writing with the electronic pen will not appear on the screen board itself.)
3.8.
Repackaging
To repackage the elite Panaboard, perform the following steps in the section 3.6 “Assembling the elite Panaboard” in reverse.
<For Wall Mounting>
Steps 1 - 3 in the <For Wall Mounting>
<For Mounting on a Stand (Sold Separately)>
Steps 1 - 2 in the <For Wall Mounting on a Stand (Sold Separately)>
Package the unit as depicted in the diagram in the section 3.5 “Preparing for Removing the elite Panaboard from Its Packaging”.
Note
• When handling the screen board, hold it by the frame and not the screen board itself. (Holding the screen board can result in the
damage.)

4 Electronic Pen Position Detection Mechanism
The electronic pen position is a detection device that mainly consists of two ultrasonic sensors (Ultrasonic Sensor 1 and Ultrasonic
Sensor 2) and one infrared sensor, equipped as shown in the following figure. These sensors receive the infrared signal and ultra-
sonic wave from the electronic pen. When the electronic pen is pressed on the screen, the electronic pen sends the infrared signal
and ultrasonic wave. This infrared signal is received by the infrared sensor and converted from the infrared signal to the electrical
signal with a cycle of 30 msec (Sig.1).
The ultrasonic signals Sig.2 and Sig.3, which are generated at the same time by the electronic pen, are received with the delay time
t1 (t2) in proportion to the distance d1 (d2) from the electronic pen to the ultrasonic sensor 1 (ultrasonic sensor 2) by the ultrasonic
sensor 1 (ultrasonic sensor 2). The elite Panaboard (Electronic Board) calculates the distance d1 (d2) using the delay times t1 and
t2. As a result, the elite Panaboard recognizes the position of the electronic pen.

5 Troubleshooting Guide
5.1.
Error Code
Contents of error are distinguished by the frequency of blinking of red color LED. When an error occurs, the red color LED blinks
several times after the red color LED goes out approx. 1 second. This frequency of blinking (of red color LED) indicates the error
status. The following is the error status table.

Possible Cause
Check Point
Infrared Error
1
The interval of the infrared radiation is
not within limits (30 ms ±10%), and this
phenomenon has been generated con-
tinuously 5 times or more.
1. Turn off and on the power, then recheck.
2. Check the place where the elite Panaboard is installed. And, avoid
the following places for proper operating.
• Direct sunlight or strong light
• Near the side wall
• Near the ceiling (Placing the top of elite Panaboard near to the
ceiling)
• Near the vents of an air conditioner
3. Replace the battery or Electronic Pen.
4. Confirm TP3 signal on control board.
5. Replace or repair the part(s) having the problem or sensor board.
Temperature
Error
3
The thermo sensor, which senses the
ambient temperature, detects 1
°C
(3.9
°F) or less [or 50°C (197°F) or
more].
• The connection between the sensor
board and control board is not cor-
rect.
• The ambient temperature is abnor-
mal [1
°C or less (or 50°C or more)].
1. In the normal ambient temperature [1
°C - 50°C (33.8°F - 122°F)], turn
off/on the power, and recheck.
2. Check the connection between connectors CN600 & CN601 on sen-
sor board and connector CN300 on control board.
3. Check the soldering of IC312 (CPU).
4. Replace or repair the part(s) having the problem, sensor board or
control board.
USB Error
4
USB device controller is abnormal.
1. Check  the soldering of IC318 (USB device controller) on control
board.
2. Replace or repair the part(s) having the problem or control board.
Backup Mem-
ory (EEPROM)
Error
5
The data in the backup memory is
abnormal.
1. Check the soldering of IC311 (EEPROM) on control board.
2. Check the soldering of IC312 (CPU) on control board.
3. Replace or repair the part(s) having the problem or control board.
SRAM Error
6
SRAM access error
1. Check the soldering of IC313 (SRAM) on control board.
2. Replace or repair the part(s) having the problem or control board.
RAM Error
7
RAM (CPU internal) access error
1. Check the soldering of IC312 (CPU) on control board.
2. Replace or repair the part(s) having the problem or control board.
