4 INSTALLATION
The elite Panaboard is used by mounting it on a wall or a stand (sold separately).
When mounting the elite Panaboard on a wall, refer to the following steps.
When using a stand (sold separately), refer to the following steps and the Installation Manual
for Model No.UB-T580/T580W.
4.1.
Installation Requirements
(1) The elite Panaboard is for indoor use. It cannot be used outdoors. Neither can it be installed or used in the following
       kinds of places.
• Places where it will be directly exposed to rain or water (including under the eaves of a house)
• Places with a lot of steam or grease such as manufacturing plants or kitchens, places with special environments
such as those with combustible atmospheres
• Seaborne or coastal places and places where corrosive gases are given off
•  Places where the operating temperature range of the electronic board (temperature: 10
°C to 35 °C [50 °F to 95 °F],
 humidity: 30 % to 80 %) will be exceeded
(2) To prevent deformation and discoloring, avoid installing the unit in places exposed to direct sunlight or near heating
     or cooling appliances, etc.
4.2.
Minimum Space Requirements
Make sure that the location is large enough to accommodate the elite Panaboard.
• UB-T580
Height: Greater than 2,300 mm (7 ft. 6.56 in.)
Width: Greater than 1,800 mm (5 ft. 10.87 in.)
• UB-T580W
Height: Greater than 2,300 mm (7 ft. 6.56 in.)

Wall Mounting Construction
4.4.1.
Cautions for Wall Mounting Construction
Which method should be used to mount the elite Panaboard (unit) depends greatly on the structure of
the wall. The system to be mounted on the wall is heavy.
Before proceeding with installation, therefore, consult with the building manager, maintenance engineer
or designer to verify that the wall has a structure strong enough to support the weight of the system.
For safety, install the unit only after thoroughly understanding the type of walls, the appropriate types of
screws and the construction method.
  Caution:
Do not attach the elite Panaboard to  mortared walls.
Accidental electric leakage from the wall mounting plate bolts to metal laths or wire laths can cause heat,
smoke, or fire.
4.4.2.
Necessary Tools and Parts
(1) Tools
• Phillips Head Screwdriver
• Drill
• Measuring tape
• Level
• Dust pump
• Hammer
• Torque Driver (capable to specify torque*)
      Note: *
The range in which the torque can be specified is limited.
Use the correct torque. (Recommended tightening torque: 5.2 N•m [53 kgf•cm])
(2) Parts
          Note:
The specified pull-out strength is required per anchor.
M6 anchor bolts are used when installing the elite Panaboard on the wall.
           (Specified pull-out strength: 784 N [80 kgf])
4.4.3.
Checkpoints to be Observed While Working
4.4.3.1.
Work-related Safety Precautions
Before mounting the electronic board, read through the following points, and take care to
avoid accidents.
 (1) To ensure that the work is accomplished safely and properly, make it a basic rule to strictly observe all other applicable
      aspects of safety control.
 (2) If there is a chance that the unit has ended up being deformed or damaged by unexpected impact while it was being
transported and installed, do not install it without taking appropriate measures. Otherwise, it may fall off the wall.
4.4.3.2.
Concerning the Installation Surface
Avoid mounting the unit on a wall, which is not a principal structure component (a concrete wall which is at least
20 mm [4 3/4 in.] thick), with a plasterboard, plywood or other such construction since these walls are weak.
If mounting on such a wall is unavoidable, reinforce the wall adequately (by ensuring that its ultimate strength will
be at least as great as the specified pull-out strength of the anchors).

Concerning the Screws and Bolts Used
4.4.4.
 Installing the Wall Mounting Plates
 (1) When obtaining anchors and bolts locally, be absolutely sure
that they satisfy the required specifications.
(2) Use the values recommended by the manufacturer of the
anchors used for the depth to which the anchors are to be
     embedded in the wall.
(3) Use M6 bolts when the anchors have internal screw threads.
(4) Ensure that the length of the M6 bolts provides an interfitting
length of at least 1.5 times the bolt diameter.
(5) Ensure that the M6 bolts do not strike the bottoms of the
anchors, and check that they have been tightened up securely.
   Note:
Recommended tightening torque: 5.2 N•m (53 kgf•cm)
1. Using the measuring tape and level, mark the 8 locations to
    insert the screws.
2. Drill 8 holes for the wall mounting plates.
• Drill holes that are appropriate for the anchors you are using.
• Use a dust pump to clean the holes after drilling to make sure
no scraps remain inside the holes.
3. Drive the 8 Anchors (WS1) into the holes.
4. Install the Wall Mounting Plates (Left) and (Right) to the wall
with the 4 Bolts, 4 Flat Washers (diameter of 16 mm (0.63 in.))
   , and 4 Spring Washers (WS2).
   Note:
The remaining 4 Bolts are used after installing the elite
Panaboard on the wall.
5. Mount the elite Panaboard on the wall.
Refer to the section 4.6 “Assembling the elite Panaboard”.
