7.3.3.
Replacing Sensor Rollers
Note
After replacing the above Paper Feed Roller Module, Double-feed Prevention Roller (Retard Roller) Module,
Sensor Roller (Front), and Sensor Roller (Back), execute "Clear Counter" for replacing roller with Service Utility.

(1) Remove the Sensor Roller (Front). (See 8.3.9.)
(2) Remove the Sensor Roller (Back). (See 8.3.10.)
(3) Install a new Sensor Roller (Back) shorter than the Sensor
Roller (Front) with the non-gear side on the left seen from the
back.
Note
When attaching the roller, be sure to push and lock
Roller (Front) with the non-gear side on the left seen from the
back.

the roller with the springs on both sides, matching
the roller guides to the grooves of the scanner.
(4) Install a new Sensor Roller (Front) longer than the Sensor
Roller (Back) with the non-gear side on the left seen from the
back, pressing down the roller guides along the grooves
of the scanner.

Exterior
8.2.1.
Side Cover (R)
(1) Push the ADF Door Release to open the ADF Door.
(See 7.2.1-(2).)

(2) Remove the 2 screws (A) and screw (B).
(3) Release the upper of the Side Cover (R) by pulling in the
direction of the arrow (1), while pushing the back of the Cover
in the direction of the arrow (2).
