The base unit display will show the following.

 1. Open the front cover by pulling up the center part.

 2. Release the back cover by pushing the green button (

).

     ·    You can also release the back cover by pushing in the

green lever (

).

 3. Open the back cover.

 4. Remove the jammed recording paper (

).

 5. Turn the gear of the blue core (

) in the direction of the

arrow until the ink film is tight (

).

     ·    The ink film is wrapped around the blue core (

) at

least once.

     ·    The ink film is not wrapped around the blue core

(

).

     ·    The ink film is reversed.

     ·    The ink film is slack or creased.

 6. Close the back cover securely by pushing down on the

notched area at both ends (

).

 7. Close the front cover securely.
