Test Procedures
• Test configuration
The test configuration is correspondence to the standard EN 55020 /7/ clause 5.7.1. The EUT is
placed 0,1 m above the centre of a metal ground plane of dimensions 2 m x 1 m. The mains lead
shall be bundled to a length less than 0,3 m and connected in the shortest possible way to the mains
stop filter
• Test parameters and marginal conditions
For the adjusting, the wanted signals are set, dependent on the type of EUT and its operating mode.
For details see measurement test set-up on following picture.
The audio controls of the EUT, other than the volume control, are set at normal position. The
volume control is adjusted to obtain an audio output power of 50mW.
For televisions receivers and video tape equipment in RF recording mode, measurements are carry
out with the wanted signal at the frequency of the middle channel of the lowest band available in
the EUT.

are close to the equipment under test at the floor of the chamber inside a connection box. The cables
to this connection box are shielded and below the double floor. The RF-generators are placed in a
special room adjacent to the chamber. The observation of the equipment under test is realized by a
video camera and by a microphone.

The tests are carried out with field strength of 125µV/m (measured in the unmodulated field) by
amplitude modulated signal with a depth of 80 % by a sinusoidal audio signal of 1 kHz. The
logarithmic step was 1% and the remaining time was 1s. Further information please find in test
