4)  Rotate the focus from the infinity end to the near end and from the near end to the infinity end and confirm the position of the focus 
brush.
5)  After finishing the adjustment, apply the adhesive bond (B-10) to the heads of screws.
4-10.  ADJUST & CHECK MR
To replace the MR sensor, refer to  4-10-2. Replacing MR Sensor . To attach and detach the MR sensor without replacing it, refer to  4-10-1. 
Attaching/Detaching MR Sensor .
4-10-1. Attaching/Detaching MR Sensor
When attaching the MR sensor, attach it with the washers installed correctly as they were.
Before detaching the MR sensor, memorize the positions of each washer.
4-10-2. Replacing MR Sensor
When attaching a new MR sensor, use a 0.1 mm washer (4-457-318-01) for the MR Adjustment Washer (upper) as shown in Fig. 4-10-1, and 
a washer whose thickness is adjusted using the procedure in Fig. 4-10-2 for the MR Adjustment Washer (lower).

MR sensor washer adjustment procedure:
Note:
  Removed washers are reusable. However, when the MR sensor has been replaced with a new one, do not use the washers at the previous locations 
and adjust them using the following procedure.
Install one 0.2 mm washer and
two 0.1 mm washers (0.4 mm
in total) for the MR Adjustment 
Washer (lower).
Reduce a thickness of
0.1 mm for the MR Adjustment
Washer (lower).
Reduce a thickness of
0.2 mm for the MR Adjustment
Washer (lower).
Increase a thickness of
0.1 mm for the MR Adjustment
Washer (lower) and install it.
Slightly shift the MR sensor with its
screws loosened, and retry MR
sensor check while changing the
MR sensor position.
If the MR sensor check still fails,
replace the MR sensor and perform
this procedure from the beginning.

In the MR sensor washer adjustment, the center value of the values obtained successfully in the MR sensor check (upper-limit) and the MR 
sensor check (lower-limit) is determined as the final value. After successful MR sensor check (center), apply bond (B-10) to the two screw 
heads as shown below.

4-10-3. Checking MR Sensor
Equipment (Only the specific equipment is listed.)
•   Adhesive Bond (B-10)
•   Half Completion JIG
Note:
  Please make a Half Completion JIG in each service station.
 
For how to make the Half Completion JIG, refer to  Note 6  in  4-1-1. List of Service Tools and Equipment .
In this check, confirm that the MR sensor check (upper-limit), the MR sensor check (lower-limit), and the MR sensor check (center) suc-
cessfully end for both  (2) Adjusting MR (Adjusting MR sensor position)  and  (3) Checking MR.
(1) Preparation
Installation procedure of Half Completion JIG and the checking lens
1.  The Half completion JIG is installed on the the checking lens with two screws.
2.  Connect F Encoder flexible board, Z Encoder flexible board, MR flexible board and SSM flexible board.

(2) Adjusting MR (Adjusting MR sensor position)
1)  Connect the equipment to the checking lens. (Refer to  4-7-2. Connection of Finished Inspection JIG II/Half Completion JIG and Start-
up of Lens Adjustment Program (ActuatorCheckerSSM) .)
2)  Start the lens adjustment program (ACSSM-S-VerX.XX.exe).
3)  Click [Setup] and perform initial settings. (Refer to  4-7-3. Initial Setting of Lens Adjustment Program (ActuatorCheckerSSM) .)
4)  Click [MR WavesCheck (Manual)] of Lens Adjustment Program.
5)  A waveform appears on the window.
6)  Check waveform changes by rotating the focus ring.
7)  Confirm that the waveform is larger than the inner circle, and then click [OK].
Note:
  The waveform is not necessarily displayed at the center of the window.
 
There is no problem when the waveform is larger than the inner circle even if the waveform is not positioned at the center of the window.

Note:
  If a desired waveform is not obtained, slightly shift the MR sensor with its screws loosened and check the waveform while changing the MR 
sensor position.
(3) Checking MR
1)  Connect the equipment to the checking lens. (Refer to  4-7-2. Connection of Finished Inspection JIG II/Half Completion JIG and Start-
up of Lens Adjustment Program (ActuatorCheckerSSM) .)
2)  Start the lens adjustment program (ACSSM-S-VerX.XX.exe).
3)  Click [Setup] and perform initial settings. (Refer to  4-7-3. Initial Setting of Lens Adjustment Program (ActuatorCheckerSSM) .)
4)  Click [Adjust & Check MR].

5)  Enter the upper three digits of the value printed on the flexible board of the ultrasonic motor (stator).
 
Example: When the value is  218

6) Click [OK[Ent]].
 
When no problem is found,  OK  appears. If  OK  does not appear, retry the procedure in  (2) Adjusting MR (Adjusting MR sensor po-
sition) .
4-11. FINISHED ADJUSTMENT/INSPECTION
4-11-1. Preparation
1.  Attach the checking lens to the equipment. (Refer to  4-7-2. Connection of Finished Inspection JIG II/Half Completion JIG and Startup 
of Lens Adjustment Program (ActuatorCheckerSSM) .)
2.  Start up the lens adjustment program (ActuatorCheckerSSM).
3.  Click [Setup] and perform the initial setting. (Refer to  4-7-3. Initial Setting of Lens Adjustment Program (ActuatorCheckerSSM) .)
Note: 
 When the Multi Serial window opens, take the following actions.
 
 
Process No. You need not enter process number.
 
 
Serial No. When the mount block assy is replaced, enter a serial number.

3) Performs the 4-6. Focusing Error Amount Check , and check that the error amount is smaller than the reference value. 
 
If the error amount is larger than the reference value, perform [Write 
SB] again, and repeat steps 1) to 3) until the error amount be-
comes less than reference value.
