Service Manual

 

NOTE: When moving the paper folding unit, use manpower of four

or more persons.

1)

Remove taping from the paper folding unit.

2)

Remove the L-shape angle brackets for the folding unit.  

Open the paper guide and remove the fixing angles as the pic-
ture below indicates.

NOTE: Remove the fixing bracket for pressure release (blue

circled section, two positions) with opening the paper
guide  after you open the fixing bracket for pressure
release (red circled section, four positions) with open-
ing the paper guide. Since it may drop inside the fixing
bracket unit, do not pull forcibly.

NOTE: The two screws (pointed to by screwdrivers) at the

front and rear are used to adjust the folding roller pres-
sure. Never loosen these screws.

NOTE: Before installation, be sure to turn both the operation and

main power switches off and disconnect the power plug
from the power outlet. Make double sure that the data lamp
on the operation panel does not light up or blink when per-
forming installation.

1)

Fix the connection plates F/R (Packed items No.5) and the
connection pin (Packed items No.6) to the decurler unit with
the screws (Packed items No.4).

2)

Fix the paper guide A (bundled with the decurler unit No.11)
and the protection Mylar (bundled with the decurler unit No.14)
together to the decurler unit with the screws (bundled with the
decurler unit No.1). 

MEMO: Temporarily attach the protection sheet to the decurler
unit with the duplex tape (back of the protection sheet), then fix
it with the screw.

1)

Fix the connection plates F/R (bundled with the inserter No.4,
5) and the connection pin (Packed items No.6) to the inserter
with the screws (Packed items No.4).

1)

Fix the connection plates F/R (Packed items No.5) and the
connection pins to the stacker with the screws (Packed items
No.4).

2)

Attach the paper guide B (bundled with the decurler unit
No.12) to the stacker with the screws (bundled with the
decurler unit No.1).

1)

Connect the unit to the decurler unit. 
Insert the pin in the decurler unit side into the hole in the unit.

2)

Open the front upper cover, remove the screw and put down
the lock lever. Tighten the removed screw to fix the lock lever.

MEMO: When the adjuster bolt is turned counterclockwise, the
height is decreased. When turned clockwise, the height is
increased.

MEMO: The specification of the height adjustment is as follows.

Height: The difference of level between top surface of the adjacent
device is within 

2mm.

1)

Open the front upper cover, pull out the folder section, and
remove the wrench from the front cover of the folder section.

2)

Turn the adjuster bolt of the caster (connection unit side) on
the front side to adjust the height.

3)

Turn the adjuster bolt of the caster (connection unit side) on
the rear side to adjust the height.

MEMO: When the adjuster bolt is turned counterclockwise, the
height is decreased. When turned clockwise, the height is
increased.

MEMO: The specification of the tilt adjustment is as follows.

Tilt: The difference of clearance between upper and lower part of
the adjacent device is within 

2mm.

1)

Turn the adjuster bolt of the caster (paper exit side) on the
front side to adjust the height.

2)

Turn the adjuster bolt of the caster (paper exit side) on the rear
side to adjust the height.
