USB Device: 
 
1.  Insert the USB memory device containing the firmware file into an active USB Port. 
 
2.  Enter Simulation 49-01. 
Note: 
“If no USB device is detected, an error message will be displayed. 
 
For MX-B382 Only:- 
 
  Using the LCD operation screen, browse and select the MX-B382 firmware file:- 
 
 
 
  The current and the new firmware versions to be updated will be shown within 
the display:- 
 
Select the required firmware that requires updating - Press Execute & Yes to 
commence the update. 
 
Note: If all firmware (including peripherals) require updating, select ALL (as shown):-

For MX-B382P Printer Only: 
 
  To browse the required folder containing the MX-B382P firmware file, enter the  
 
folder number and press the shortcut key                     on the operation panel. 
 
Example shown:-  Folder  <DIR> FIRMWARE = 01. 
 
 
 
  Select the MX-B382P firmware file by entering the file number and press the shortcut 
key                     on the operation panel. 
 
Example shown:-  Filename rom.sfu = 01. 
 
 
 
  To select individual areas only (eg ICU Main & ICU Boot), enter the relevant firmware 
number and press the shortcut key                    . Each item selected will now be 
highlighted. 
 
Example shown ICU Main (01) and ICU BootM (02).
